hehehe anything that's a break from the normal counts as a vacation. no matter what you do! we never come back from vacatoins rested. well the cruises we do. but disney world... nope never. we come back more tired than when we got there. hehe...

yeah we have 3 of those pictures. they need frames. plus we have another picture that size that they gave to each cabin on the christmas cruise in 2004. so we have 4 giant pictures that nothing has been done with them yet. and we got them all signed by 'ducky' hehe. man everything needs frames. my college diploma has been sitting in it's envelope on for 2 years just waiting. :rotfl2:
Yup--a break from normal is what counts.

Three of those pictures!?!?!? Well, I guess you will not be interested in any of mine. They are lying flat on top of the hutch in their protective envelopes.

I did not keep my diploma in a frame very long because I put my professional license in that frame. But then, what do you do with that stuff? More things in boxes in the storage closet down the hall..... :confused3
Our condo is in a former factory that made gloves. 13 foot ceilings with wood and beams!! Brick walls, 7 foot high windows facing SOUTH and plasterboard walls where there are walls. So cool. And I like the open airyness of it so don't want to put so much on the walls that it looks like an old-fashioned art museum.

What are you all going to be doing today?

I will be walking a bit over a mile each way to take some cokes to DH's office today. We buy 2 liter diet coke and then "decant" it into 20 ounce bottles as they don't defizz as fast. He has DS#2's college frig in his office, behind the desk, so takes several bottles every few days. He did not take any yesterday and had an out-of-town meeting today so, since I am having lunch with his administrative assistant (secretary), I will take some down.

:confused3
sick of restaurant food
:confused3
:thumbsup2 Does not matter what it is or where, as long as I don't have to cook it or clean up after it, I'm good :thumbsup2

oooo

i believe we originally were supposed to have a category 11... but looking at what all the rooms are i think we got upgraded to an 8 or a 9. i know we're not an inside room anymore and we have outside rooms with the porthole view. i will have to check the information we have. i don't know where my dad has decided to horde it all away.

:Pinkbounc

Anyone book guaranttee status get assigned yet? I was hoping to know where we were assigned when others started getting bumped.

Okay guys! I am confident that I have to change my original thought to this thread having 4,000 posts by the time we sail.

I think I should say we will have 6,000 posts by the time we sail.

sugaswim: we have lots of stuff going on. We are doing DIS meets as follows:

11:30am embarktion day in the terminal in front of the tv's

Sailaway party Deck 10 in front of the bar area (supposedly a great view to the stage below)

The morning of Nassau time and location TBD

Adults only meet at Wavebands on 80's night.

We also have wristbands we are ordering in green that say "It's Time! Disney Wonder 9/3/06" So we know who our fellow DISer's are.

Everyone seems to be doing their own thing concerning t-shirts.

Last question fo those that consume alcohol: Has anyone tried the Ruby Red (grapefruit flavored) Absolut vodka? If so, your thoughts?

We did not have a birthday party for my DD because her grandpa was here. Then it got postponed again because I am coaching her soccer team and I have a meeting on the 5th of August so now it is on the 12th of August. I am going to have 12 little 10 - 12 year olds sleeping at my house. What am I thinking? The invitations went out so no going back now. :rotfl:

So, what's this year's b-day theme?

see posts 3788-2792 for an almost updated cruiser list. I gotta add swim and the BIL/SIL.But Ive got to get the kiddos ready for swim lessons now. see my light's going to turn out.

I remember my first sleepover birthday party. I think it was the summer I turned 12. I had 6 friends spend the night. My parents were sound sleepers so it was pretty cool! :cool1:

We were playing truth or dare when I noticed the hunky 14 yr old neighbor guy :rotfl: outside my house. It was about 1am. He was the youngest of five boys and his oldest brother had his bachelor party the same night as my sleepover. I guess they let him have some beer at the end of the party cause he was tipsy. Needless to say I was "dared" to go outside and get my first kiss. :lmao: Of course I had to do it! :smooth: So I head outside to talk to Chris. We chat for a little bit and then he notices the six girls faces glued to my living room window :rotfl2: He asked what was going on so I told him. He gave me the cutest little peck on the lips. I was in heaven :cloud9: All my friends squealed with delight. Looking back on it, we were such dorks! Now I wouldn't qualify that kiss as a "real kiss" but at the time I thought I was so cool!
3 years later (when I had matured ;) ) he finally gave me my real first kiss and I was totally grossed out (I told you we were dorks!) :dance3:

Long story short- keep an eye on those girls  :rolleyes1

My light is on all the time because we have DSL. I leave the computer on and THIS THREAD open as well as some sweepstakes I try to enter daily and a few other threads and the Cruise Board :surfweb: so some of the time I am here surfing and the rest of the time I am gone but will check as soon as I get in. Saves time spent loading the pages. I am so spoiled and want my DIS fix FAST. When we have a power outage or Windows sends an automatic update that requires restarting the computer and I come back to an empty screensaver I am so disappointed

:lmao: So--sometimes the light is on but NO ONE'S HOME :rotfl2: literally!

This is a good summary for others of us that can't keep up! We'll probably need a reminder post a couple days before the cruise! What time does 80's night start? I'd like to drag DH there but, being realistic, would go solo.

on stage? :thumbsup2

WOW guys! Guess what I just did!! Saw the thread about Atlantis for 119, called expecting them to say no kids........ but they said no problem so I booked it! Monday Sept 4th is the day we are in Nassau, right?! Yikes, this was so quick. There are a bunch of other tag on fees and such but seemed like a deal too good to pass up. Had planned on hanging out on the ship. Have to tell DH now. :-o

Tae Ja, did you remind everyone to go back to your saved spots and read that you actually posted something there? :rotfl2: I knew you'd do that. :thumbsup2
