Disney Wonder Mexican Riviera - December 4th 2011

We have cruised on the Wonder at about the same time of year and it was completely decorated for Christmas including a very large gingerbread house. It was very festive,

I love Christmas just as much as Disney so I look forward to seeing it all decorated.

So we now have our Palo brunch booked.....

We are not booking port adventures as we have been to Mexico many many times. We are meeting friends in PV that will be there on their sailboat and will probably go out for a daysail with them. In Cabo we were not even going to go ashore but friends that are in LaPaz have said they will take the bus down and meet us there. So we will probably go in to have lunch with them and do some interneting.

The Starbucks is great for internet. The entire upstairs and balcony has comfy chairs and tables and you can spend as much time as you need with free internet. Just buy a cup of coffee to be nice.

What have the rest of you decided on port adventurers?

We are still not officially on this cruise <sigh>--my husband should know this week if he is able to get all of the days off (keeping our fingers crossed). Right now we are planning on PV cooking, CSL one day horseback riding, CSL one day either the outback adventure or just touring on our own. Do you have an suggestions on this to do on our own in Cabo?

We really need to focus and get our excursions lined up.

Time seems to be flying by and the reservation date is drawing near.

I know my teenage daughter wants to do the Surfing in Cabo and the Ziplining in Puerta Vallarta. Other then that I dont have any idea.

Curious to hear what others may be scheduling.

Is anyone adding DISNEYLAND to your trip prior to the cruise? What about hotels/shuttles to the port if you get in a few days early? Advice, thoughts?

We are thinking the same. We are coming in the day before the cruise, and are plqnning on staying at the disneyland hotel. We have heard that super shuttle makesnyhe run as well..it would be cheaper, but i thibk we are just going to do disney transportation because if something goes wrong disney will take care of you. I think you can just add transportation by calling disney cruise or doing it online.

I called DCL to make sure all of our reservations are linked....want to be sure at the I can make all of the excursion plans when I hit the 90 day mark. While I was on the phone I asked about availability (trying to get another friend to come along) the rep said there was not much left foom left If the ship is filling up where are all the folks for our Cruise Meet? I am kind of hoping that the ship will not be filled.... more room to move around

Just thought I would throw that out there.

Still looking for excursion ideas, I have about a week until I need to make my ressies.

Very interesting indeed raeryan50! It looks like there are still quite a few staterooms available according to the DCL website, but I also wonder where all of our fellow Disers are.

As far as excursions go, we're still thinking about what to do as well. We are most likely going to do the Cooking in PV and the horseback riding in Cabo. We might do another one in Cabo, but we're not sure yet.

We are doing Disneyland for a couple days before. We haven't booked our hotel yet (hoping for the fall deals!) but will probably be staying on property.

I hadn't even thought about transportation to the port yet. Something to research.

Finally made a decision about our vacation dates. Originally was going on December 11th but found a spot on this cruise today. This will be our second Disney cruise. First one was for DD's 3rd birthday and this one is for her 11th. We are very excited since we did not get to take a cruise last year.

We would like to participate in the fish extenders. Looking forward to meeting everyone! If there are any teen girls my DD (14) would love to make friend (Facebook & email) before the cruise.

We are thinking about doing the dolphin swim in Cabo. We did the America's Cup Challenge the last time we were there and it meets at the same place as the dolphin excursion and looked like so much fun. DD and I love dolphins and have always wanted to do it.
