New here.
Hi!

This will be our first Disney cruise as well as our first time traveling with an infant. Any pointers? Our son will be 4 months old in March.
Has anyone been on the wonder? Has anyone traveled with a very small child???

Hi there, my family is taking our twin boys who will be 8 months at the time on a March 2nd Fantasy cruise... There is a trip report for the Fantasy with a 9 month old that may help...

As for any tips from me; I would make sure you reserve your daycare time ASAP if you havnt already, times book up fast. We booked time for Palo and some time for the pool and an excursion we have planned. Also I would suggest taking the car carrier with you, esspessially for meals, because while they do have highchairs in the dining halls, they are meant for bigger kids not a 4 month old.

That and they will probably move this tread to the main cruise line page because this is not a Trip Report... :)

Thanks for responding....
We decided to just bring our stroller with the car seat clicked into it. We're pretty used to lugging it around anyway.
These boards don't move very fast do they? Either that or no one's been on the Wonder or has kids... :sad1:

Hi There :wave2:
I think the limited response is because of a couple of things. The holidays being the first! It's all a little slower here :goodvibes

Also, you have posted this question on the 'trip report' section of the website. You might have more luck posting your questions in the main cruise line forum. http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9

Also try joining the group for your sailing.

I started this thread but my kids have requested we don't do any dismeets this time, so i'm not really taking part in the group. But post a hello there and others may join in :goodvibes It's still pretty quiet though.
Good Luck. :thumbsup2

Our DD was just 9 months, so a bit older than yours will be, but maybe you can find some helpful tips.

We found that switching nursery hours around once we were on the ship, and even changing things day-to-day, was not usually a problem for daytime hours. The evening hours tend to fill up, but you can also be on a waiting list for cancellations if you want to try that. I agree with the previous poster who said to book nursery time as soon as you're able. I would especially encourage you to book any evening hours you think you might use, and then you can change them or cancel them once you're on the ship.

Dreamyd,

We (DW and I) don't have any children, so I can't help you there. But, since our cruise was the same itinerary that yours will be, maybe my trip report will be somewhat useful.

BTW, we love the Wonder and it's our favorite of the three Disney ships we've cruised (Dream, Magic, and Wonder).

Hope you have a wonderful cruise.
