Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

Thanks for all the "formal" replies. Ruby is very eager to be seen in her lovely blue dress now (especially since formal night will likely be on her birthday). I'm done shopping AT LAST (I think....) Now to start packing...

Charlene:woohoo:

Hi. I signed on with this group months ago and haven't had time to really aprticipate in the community. But you mentioned a Facebook page for the kids, can anyone direct me to where I would find that? I think both my daughters (Brooke 11 and Maile 9) would enjoy talking to some kids before boarding the ship.
Thanks!

I have a question for those of you who live in California. Can we buy wine on Sunday morning before heading to the port? Or is this something we need to plan to do on Saturday?

Does anyone know exactly what we are supposed to bring to the port as far as cruise docs? The only thing I have printed out is the "Online Check-In Signature Form" which is only one page and basically just has a spot to sign for the contract and another to sign for your payment authorization. I have read a few times to make sure you bring "all your documents". Am I missing something?

That's all I have, but I think they also mean a passport or birth certificate/driver's license.

Absolubtly - but when you are buying it you might want to say 'THIS IS FOR MY CRUISE, NOT MY BREAKFAST' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm not sure what stores are around the port tho??

If there is a problem, you can call or text me & I can grab it for you - do you have my cell??

I'm sure you can--alcohol is available at regular stores like Safeway and Wal-Mart. We plan to go on Sat. since that's when we have a car (renting one for the day).

Does anyone know what stores are close to the Crowne Plaza? We may want to pick up some water and wine before we head to the port. We don't arrive until around 10:00 p.m. Saturday, so it would have to be something open late or a place we can stop by in the a.m. We won't have a car either.

Getting excited!!! Starting to feel nervous too!

Oh NO!! Has anyone seen the weather for Sunday?? Looks like rain:scared1:

I keep hoping it will fall off the forecast but its still there....been checking for the last several days.

I'm still hoping there will be a break in rain periods and we'll be able to watch the Sailaway party outside.

I saw that too. Kind of a bummer, but being from the NW the rain doesn't stop us from doing anything. Hope they won't cancel the Sailaway party if it's raining.

You never know here in California....we can start off the week cold and end up warm like we did last week. Between January and April our weather is so hit and miss. It can be crazy warm (in the 80's) or super cold (50's and 60's)...and yes that is super cold for us Californians.

We've been on 3 Disney Cruises but my kids (especially my girls) are so excited about this one. They have really enjoyed "pre-meeting" some of your kids. We're off the next two weeks for Spring Break so we plan to go to Dland on Wednesday. We were going to go yesterday but we unexpectantly had to go car shopping.

I'm glad to hear your tweens are dressing up. My oldest (DD13) loves dresses but my DD11 does not like dresses and only wears jeans. I told her she had to find two dresses and/or skirts to wear on the formal and semi formal night. We have officially started packing if you consider making piles of clothes packing.

Can't wait to meet everyone....we plan to get to the port early for our 10:00 check in time.

If you can find somewhere open, than you can buy it in the morning, but I'm not sure what types of stores are around the port :confused3.

If you like, I can pick some wine up for you. Just let me know what brand/type and about how much you'd like to spend. I can give it to you during the kids meet on the 1st day. Just let me know.

okay, seriously? It's going to be warmer in St. Louis than in California this weekend! Looks like we'll be packing more pants that shorts for this trip.

But that's only for the California days--it's been mid-80s in Mexico!

I have been away for so long it seems...finished the FE and now working on packing. Last week for cookies sales (my last booth sale is Saturday).

I am picking up my in-laws on Saturday as well and taking them to DTD for dinner Saturday night. They have never been on a cruise so we are excited for them.

Unfortunately, my DH doesn't get to cruise with us this time so he will be missed but it is nice not having to think about getting pet sitters and all the stuff that goes with leaving for a vacation.

Trying to get the house cleaned this week since most of the family is staying her the night before.

I luckily do not need to go shopping for anything as we did for the PC cruise and hav e only been back for 7 weeks so we are good there. Although I could use a new bathing suit - I don't even want to deal with that at the moment.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!
