I got my cruise docs today WAHOOOOOOOO - i cannot tell you how excited that makes me - my husband thinks im crazy, but I KNOW you will understand

My kids are dressing up for pirate night - got to get my stuff together - but I know my husband will NOT!

I have a question - I know that we can take water/soda on board (& booze I believe!) do we have to put it in a bag & check it?

Is anybody else's kids doing the 'kids' dolphin experience in PV? I noticed that my kids excursion time is showing as 3-5.30, but mine & hubs as 2-5. Just wondering before I call.....

Last question - any ideas on what to pack in a day bag for when we board? I was thinking bathing suits, robes for the kids, Lola's 'bunny' (if we lose that the whole ship will know about it come bedtime!!) any other wonderful ideas I forgot about??

Definately understand...I was excited when we got ours too.

You can bring water, soda and alcohol in your carry on.

Hubby and grandson are doing the Dolphin swim and observer for me in PV. Our times were not synced up either at first, just by 15 minutes though, I would call and check on that.

Yes pack Lola's bunny. That would be sad for her, and you trying to explain it. I would pack any meds you might need.

It's so exciting...only 4 weeks...our first Disney cruise, wahoo!

You actually have to bring those beverages in your carry-on, they request that you do not put it in your checked luggage. Do you have special soda that you like to drink that DCL doesn't have? Because you know soda is free, right?

We're planning to pack swim suits and everything totally necessary in our carry-ons. My husband and I aren't planning to swim, but I know the kids will want to. I'm probably going to have more in it than I think I will, just because I'll need the space in suitcases. I have to work on not overpacking like usual. On our first cruise I took WAY too many pairs of shoes. I'm going to try to get away with only four this time, but now I have those pirate boots, so it will now be 5.

I wish the weather was a little more predictable!

I have a 13 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. They are both on the Kids Facebook page and would love to get to know your kids before the cruise!

Thanks for the link cruisindisney. And mommykeg I sent a request to join the group so my son can use my account to get know others his age. My 13 yr old lost her fb privileges last night for being on after 9:00 so I'll have her join tomorrow.

We will try to be at the meet on the first day. As of today, our newly turned 12-yr-old daughter (Lucy, 6th grader) will still be in a leg cast on the cruise. She is currently in a mid-thigh cast and wheelchair, but we are hoping by cruise time it will at least be a short cast and crutches!! Yikes! Also, we have a 10-yr-old daughter(Abby, 5th grader, not shy at all). Our older daughter is very quiet and shy, but she has insisted all along on us keeping our cruise plans despite her injury! Hope she can meet some nice girls.

What a great idea to meet in the Double tree lobby at 7pm on Saturday sounds great. This way as we are waiting to get onboard Sunday morning the kiddos can be social together!

We will be staying at the Doubletree, GMA, GPA, Single ds dad, and 7 yr old granddaughter. I'm sure she would like to meet some other kids, so we will try to make it. Might be tough since they don't fly in until 5:00.

i guess i could take this to the main FE board but since you all are my family i figured i'd just ask you, lol!

my mil makes super cute lollies. she sent our kids some in anticipation of the cruise we are all going on together. i was thinking this would be a super cute idea for the FE exchg but dh thought maybe not due to them being home made and any fears people have associated w/ that. (can you tell we are from california, but that i've fallen into laid back southern ways? lol!) so...what's the verdict here? yay or nay on disney themed lollies for the FE's?

I agree, super cute & I'm sure nothing like the mom at preschool who bought in home made rice crispy cakes, then the next week face booked how they 'were having such problems getting rid of the mice & ants in the kitchen' . No I'm not kidding!!

My kids are catching my excitement bug, they are itching to go buy their secret Mickey gifts

Just have to add...I LOVE looking at all the countdown tickers..that are down to JUST weeks now (instead of 5 months, 4 weeks, 5 days..lol). LOVE IT!!
We finished our countdown calendar at home, so everyday we get to put a sticker on a day...WOOT WOOT! First Cruise!!!

This weekend we watched the Disney Cruise Line DVD (for at least the 10th time ) and read our Birnbaum Guide and "Hidden Mickey's go to Sea" I feel like such a newbie I LOVE that this is one of the very few Disney things I haven't done that I will now be able to check off the list.

I hear its addictive...so..this could be the beginning of a very expensive habit

I know...I am checking things off the list today: made hair appointments for everyone to get cuts before we go, made a reservation for the cat to go to the "kitty condos", purchased new ink for my printer so I can print out some magnets. Trying to do a few things every day, but getting very excited! I obsessively read the Passporter guide when we first booked, but I need to dig it out and read it again now that it's so much closer.
