Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

This is my third time participating in a cruise meet. I have yet to see parents getting the kids together to meet. How about I organize a kids get together on the ship so they can all meet each other? Nothing special - just a date, time and a place.

Sounds perfect! My 6yo is friendly, but a little shy, so I would LOVE for her to meet other little girls her age at the start of the cruise so she can come out of her shell in the kids club!

No problem! I'll organize something the first day. It's always kind of tough the first day because kids are swimming and then there is the safety drill and then the sail away party and then there is dinner! I'm thinking something the first day around 2ish by the pools.

You know what is going to be really cool about this trip? I think we will have the new wave phones. So, if some kids are afraid to go to the kids clubs alone, we can always call another family for help. We sat with another family at dinner whose daughter was the same age. They became good friends during the cruise. When she wanted to go to the Oceaneer's club we called her and they went together. They also skipped dinner to eat at the club together

You know what is going to be really cool about this trip? I think we will have the new wave phones. I hadn't heard of these phones before, so I googled it. They sound so cool! And we should have them for our cruise because they were supposed to start them on the Wonder last month. Apparently they are going to replace the pagers. I'm glad because my parents are going with us on this cruise in another cabin and we thought we would have to buy walkie-talkies. These will work so much better because you can text from them also. Woo Hoo!

Definitely interested in a kids meet up on Day 1 for my girls. Makenna, 11, is so anxious to make friends her age. Time sounds good, we plan to be hanging out at the pool anyway

I also have friends cruising on this sail date with 2 daughters, ages 5 & 3 so I will tell them as well.

Sounds like we have alot of 9 year old boys. My DS is 9 as well.

The kids gathering sounds good for us as well. Of course who knows what will happen once we board.

The Palo reservations went fast didn't they? When I booked last week there were plenty of slots open.

Yes, they went quickly and I need a 5 person reservation. I guess I get to change my 4 person one to 5 when I get on the ship. I keep checking the website though.

my dd is turning 7 next week she's also friendly but bit shy, my dd9 is shy, hope she can meet your girls and play along together. I signed them up for the oceaneer club and oceaneer lab last night...i'm so excited for them..they still don't know we are going on a disney cruise they think we are going next year..lol.

My DD Elsa 6 will be closer to 7 when we are on our cruise. She is very outgoing and loves to make friends. this will be our third cruise and she has no fear of going by herself. She loves making new friends, so I'm sure she will make your DD feel welcome. If they like icarly, big time rush, victorious, build a bears, webkinz, club penguin, Junie B. Jones and just being silly they will be in like Flynn.

My DD Elsa 6 will be closer to 7 when we are on our cruise. She is very outgoing and loves to make friends. this will be our third cruise and she has no fear of going by herself. She loves making new friends, so I'm sure she will make your DD feel welcome. If they like icarly, big time rush, victorious, build a bears, webkinz, club penguin, Junie B. My DD 6 turning 7 next week and DD love those shows, our dvr is full of kid shows they watch them over and over again...lol...my little one is into Junie B.Jones right now...can't wait for them to meet your DD...we also signed up for the cabo dolphin swim and yelapa snorkeling last night.

Still nothing from the FE coordinator? I'm getting really antsy. I'm not super crafty, so I really need all the time I can get to get my stuff done. I just looked through the homemade FE gift thread and was very impressed but need to know numbers so I can get going.

What I did was start my fe gifts and right now I'm just waiting for a final count to make sure I have enough done. Don't know if that helps you at all.

This will be her first time in the teen club- she just turns 14 in Feb.

Anyone else have a young teen dd they need a friend for?

Vegaslover, are you in charge of this meet? Can we pick a time and place such as Promenade Lounge 2 pm boarding day or something to that effect?

Now, that my kids know about this cruise I will have my dd sign up for the facebook page. She has her own facebook acct so she can add the DisAmigos page and hopefully meet a few friends before we cruise.

I also have a ds11 so he'd love to meet some kids his age as well.

I'm thinking around 2pm but somewhere around the pool area. I'm only guessing that most kids will be swimming once on board. and dragging them away from the pool is pretty difficult. I could be completely wrong as I have heard that it is not as hot in California as it is in Florida in March.

I was also thinking about meeting right after the sail away party but I can't remember how long and what time the party is. Does anyone remember? Like do we actually pull away from the pier after the party? Or, before.
