Jessica, you want to turn the phone off and leave it off on the ship, especially the internet part as the roaming/data charges are outrageous for data. The internet package on the ship is not horrible....not great, but definitely better than having your phone connect and coming home to international roaming bill. There are internet cafe's by terminals.....cheaper yet. If you do the work and then just log in to upload it, it should be okay.

Hey Jessica, count us in for 2 adults and 1 child bracelet. I don't have a preference for color(s). I do think we should go for something highly visible and also something not taken by a cause, although it would be pretty funny to have some poor guy with a Livestrong bracelet wondering why all these nutty strangers keep approaching him and asking if he got their FE gift.

You can put me down for 2 Adult bracelets . I like micky colors maybe red with black writing . What about handing them out at the meet on the ship. That would save you time mailing them all out. Since they are not flat would they fit in a reg envelpoe?. Anyway thanks Jessica for getting this together.

Thanks for posting that, I didn't even think to check Disney's site! Like you said, prices aren't great, but I'll admit that they're not as bad as I thought they would be. I will probably just do 250 minutes for $75

I'm in for at least 3 (2 adults, 1 child) but might buy more depending on what the bracelet might say. We're cruising with four family members on the two dayer, so if it's generic enough, I'd commit to an additional four. I am definitely committing to two, however.

I'm glad you said that, I was scared my saying I hate lime green would put people off, but I couldn't help it - lime green is soooo horrible!!

Okalie dokalie on the bracelets! Its funny you said that because I was thinking the same thing - I was wondering what it might say that I could wear it for our other Disney cruise. My thoughts so far have been (in Disney-ish font, of course):

No worries!

Are you planning on making phone calls from the ship or something? I don't know much about calling cards, but I don't think it has to do with the "company." When I was a tenager we got calling cards a lot and the Mexican-looking ones worked for what we needed them for, and we never called Mexico. If I remember correctly all calling cards say on them their calling area's (e.g. calls can be made to bahamas, u.s. yadda yadda, and they say how much it would "charge" for each destination). I hope that helps!

I think we are going to do 250 minutes as well. I figure we can also upload and post some photos on line while still on the cruise for friends and family etc.

That's actually not a bad price given that you're using a satelite connection to access the internet. Just be aware that the connections speeds are extremely slow by today's standards, so you're better off preparing as much as possible in advance before connecting.

As I sitting here at work, doing no work at all ( I have a cruise to plan ) I have come up with a few questions.

1. Jessica or Ryan I have a question about the FE list. Disney_farmgirl is "NO" on the main FE list, but "YES" on the other. Do you know if they want to do the FE or not. I guess Disney_farmgirl could answer this question as well.

Since we do not have very many cabins on the list, I going to add Sailing_Sue and Lizzy'sMom on my list. Yes I'm creating my own spreadsheet instead of doing my job

2. Have you guys noticed that they changed the Port time in PV and Mazatlan? We are now leaving PV at 6PM and Mazatlan at 4 PM Does any one know why? Dave and I are on a Fishing trip in Mazatlan and I'm not sure if we should cancel. 4PM is really cutting it close.

Our DVC countdown widget is set for an AKC stay 12/3. I have a trade show in Orlando and we staying the weekend. It will get set for the cruise after that. Glad someone did the math for me.
