Booked my upgrade! Got a 5B veranda, deck 6 starboard (and not very far from the laundry room! Have the same cabin for the 5 day Baja before this cruise, so no having to switch cabins on my B2B.

Here is a link to order the Order of the Ditch certificate. You buy this in advance and bring it on the ship for the Captain to sign. Note there are two versions, one with 'traditional' mermaids (bare breast) and one with more modestly clad mermaids.

Hi all!

Myself and DH just booked this morning. There had been a lot of deliberation for next year and yesterday we were set on a 7 night Alaska. But flights from the UK and the price of hotels in Vancouver has put me off a little and DH wants hot!! Considering this isn't much more for a 14 night it was kind of a no brainer.

So yey!!

We just moved our deposits to this cruise this morning. We will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and our 50th birthdays. Will be bringing along our eight year old and twelve year old. Super excited!

BTW we used Costco, I just called them on the phone and they gave us the DCL price with a cash back card that will be sent once we complete our cruise. Cash back just in time for Christmas shopping LOL

HELP! I need a pep talk to get excited about this cruise! I waited months and months to book it, but now all the $$$$ has me wondering if I should go! I keep looking around my house and seeing other things the money could be spent on. :-/. All this even after my husband had a big, "experiences not things" speech recently. I want to be as excited as I was last Wednesday when I booked!

My way of looking at holidays is thinking about the future. when I'm older and look back on my life what will I have the fondest memories of. In this instance a 14 day cruise with my husband which we can be together without the distractions of everyday life and work and can have fun and try new things OR refurbing the bathroom. Its really a no brainer for me. the bathroom will still be there when we get home and we can do it then but 14 uninterrupted days with my best friend cannot be exchanged for anything in the world.

you just gotta work out what's more important to you but life is too short to spend it all on things that can be done around the house IMHO.

I hope you will stick with us and join us on this cruise as it will be a great experience
