We were on Disney Wonder Sept. 19. Everything went great for us.Tthe only changes we had was our sea day was on Mon. then Tues. we did Nassau and Wed. Castaway Key. Late Wed. night early thurs. (Sept. 23) we did feel some ship movement but it wasn't bad as we docked early Thur. so it did not last long. It seems our cruise was one of the few Disney cruises in Sept. that was not badly affected by a hurricane.
Thurs. evening we watched Disney wonder go out from Cocoa Beach. We know Wonder did not do Castaway Key and figured she missed Nassau too. So what did you guys do who were on the Sept. 23 cruise? We are also wondering about the Sept. 26 cruise. How did it go?
I read one post here that was very upset about going to Charleston, SC because of huruicane Frances. I could see that would be a disapointment-I myself live in the Atlanta, GA area and Charleston is only a 5 hour car drive for me- but at least Charleston has a lot of history-tons of historic houses, art galleries , a great aquarium etc. I would think Charleston would be much better then say Jacksonville or Ft. Lauderdale.
I had decided before our cruise I would be happy if all we got was 4 days at sea-I knew when we booked this time of the year we were taking a chance-hense the great prices offered.
I loved the Wonder and would do it again even if we did do some ports that would not be my choice. to me there is nothing like a cruise. Wonder is a wonderful ship as far as I am concerned and her veranda was so much nicer then the balconies we have had on other lines. We did not smell our neigbor's cigerettes and noises did not carry from other balconies which has always been the downside of getting a balcony for me. I felt this showed how much better quality construction Wonder had over these other cruiselines.
