Sitting at work today, and missing DL and Southern California terribly. We live on the east coast and managed to get there two times in the last two years. I fell in love with it (which is why the second trip happened so soon after the first).

Our budget doesn't allow us to go much further than NYC this summer. While I'm a NY girl and love the city, it's a long weekend for us. Nothing like enjoying a week or more in California. The humidity in the northeast is already settling in, too.

We've also ruled out WDW this summer - both for price and weather. Now that we've experienced LA weather we can't imagine going back to Orlando in the summer months!

I'm so envious of those of you who get to DL more often!

Sure don't blame you about the Orlando summer weather. We did that on our first trip to WDW.... and never did it again. That said, SoCal in the summer isn't exactly fantastic. 90+ is a warm day in the parks with or without humidity. But this is coming from a spoiled Californian, living in a land of 7-8 months of spring weather each year.

I feel the same way! We live in very, very Northern Canada (think 1 hour away from the Alaska border) and we went in 2011, 2013 and this past January! Love it and miss it so much. I am already planning and saving for 2016! I think that's why I come on these boards so much :surfweb:, to live through other peoples experiences until we can go back again!

We were just at DL last week and all today, I keep thinking "This time last week we were doing _____ at DL." Sigh

This time last week was so much better than this time, this week.

I miss Disneyland.

Me, too. I miss DLR. I am planning to go back, but I can feel the longing the rest of you have described. When I get home from a trip, I play the "Last Week at This Time" game, too! When my ticker starts getting close, I start to feel the blues because I know that the trip will be over so quickly and I will be missing it so much. These boards are the only balm for what ails me.

We experience "Disneyland Withdrawal" as well, only ours usually begins on the morning of the last full day we're there,(wish it wouldn't start till a few days after being home!)

It's terrible, but thinking about "re-entry" into the real world;)(for us, anyway) isn't something we look forward to!:)

As silly as it seems, I always tear up a little leaving a Disney park for the last time of the trip. I've been lucky enough to get to a Disney park every year since 2011 (this year will be my first trip back to the US though). Living in Australia, Disney is always a very big and expensive trip (even HK is an expensive 8 hour flight), and I never know when I'll get to go back.
