DS was 2 the first time we to him to wdw, we'll be going again this year in November and DS will be almost 4 and DD will be 10 months old. DS loved it!! he was amazed by absolutely everything, especially with Mickey, so I'm not worried about him for our next trip, I am worried about DD though. If you've been to Disney with a 10 month old, how was it? how many breaks did you take? we're planning to take our double stroller, DS still uses a stroller religiously.

We went to wdw last year with our 8 month old. It was rough but doable. We also have an older son as well. What basically ended up happening is my hubby stayed with the baby and I stayed with my older son. We met up for meals and did a few rides together but the baby was scared of the dark rides so that limited things. My hubby took the baby back mid morning for s nap and then after lunch for a nap. My older son and I stayed in the parks or went swimming during his nap time. Then I also kept my older son out for nighttime activities while my hubby put the baby to bed. My hubby didn't really mind spending all that time at the resort he's not a theme park guy. So like I said it was rough but totally doable.

My sons trip was when he was 10 months old. He was pretty great. We went on every ride that he could. He either sat on my lap or (often) took a little nap. He was still nursing so any time he got a little fussy I could calm him down that way.

We alternated with the stroller and a couple different carriers (I preferred a babyhAwk or ring sling, Dh liked the long). We didn't do breaks out of the park. He'd fall asleep in the stroller (or more likely the carrier) when he was tired.

He liked the characters but got annoyed when they interrupted his eating at character meals. He was walking at the time so I made sure to find some out of the way places for him to stretch his legs.

There was only one night that he got overly cranky and I did have to leave dinner for awhile to take him outside and calm him down.

Honestly it was probably the easiest trip with a kid. He got old and learned to talk and now has opinions and stuff. ;)

We took our 10 month old in November and he was great. He went on a bunch of rides and just liked watching all the activity everywhere. When he was ready for a nap, we found a quieter spit in the park and rocked him in the stroller for a few minutes and he would fall asleep.

Any age before they're walking is wonderful. They don't mind being in the stroller or in a carrier all day long. They like being worn. Mine have always slept well in the stroller or Ergo at that age, so when they fall asleep, we just keep going.

If you want to see shows, it's handy if they're still nursing. My babies have all associated the 3D movies at WDW with nursing because that's what we do in them.

We took my son when he was almost 1 and his sister was 3. We found it really easy to have him with us. He was amazed by everything. When he got overwelmed he would fall asleep. We used a sit and stand stroller for him and his sister and brought an ergo. He would take his morning nap in the ergo and we were able to keep touring. Depending on your baby girl, it could be a really easy trip!
Enjoy.

My daughter has been going to WDW a few times a month since she was. 3 months. It's the easiest place to take her. There are changing tables everywhere and each park has a baby center. Many rides do not have height limits.

We took our son when he was 9 months and thought it was a great age! He was alert enough to be interested in what was going on around him, but not walking, so very easy to contain. He was too excited to nap loke he would have at home, but didn't really get cranky because he was so content.

We went when our youngest was 9 months. It was a great trip. We spent mornings and evenings in the parks and afternoons at the resort for naps and swimming. He loved the rides and character interactions. We are taking him again when he's 2.5 this October.

My nephew was about 6 months when we went, and he did fine. He either hung out in his stroller or a baby carrier that an adult wears. You just need to pay attention to your little one's cues of when a break is needed. One of you might need to take her back to the resort for some downtime if she's not comfortable sleeping in a stroller.

Our ten month olds aren't quite walking yet (going next week)- but we were brainstorming places they could get a little practice in - do you mind sharing some of your favorite out of the way places?

Our son wasn't walking but was pulling up and crawling around. I remember in Epcot he got to crawl around near the exit to Soaring and he loved pulling up at various low fences. He liked watching the miniature trains in Germany. We sat on the deck of the liberty boat in MK and he loved standing between us, looking out through the rail. My parents let him play at the playground at Port Orleans. Apparently it was carpeted with some sort of astroturf so it wasn't messy.

We are going back next week too! Hope you have a wonderful time. Maybe we will be in line together somewhere :)

Baby centers. The one at AK is especially good for this. Also the Animation Building at Hollywood ,Planet Watch at Ak, and Pete's tent at MK.

We took our DD when she was 10 months. It was actually easier than when she was 2, I think. She wasn't walking and kind of went with the flow. A few days we went back to our resort, but DD was a great stroller napper so most days we just let her nap in the stroller. We used that time to experience the grown up attractions. Make sure you have a comfortable stroller. Baby carriers are nice too.

The baby care centers are great for breaks and diaper changes. If you are flying, I would recommend getting an order from Garden Grocer, including diapers, wipes, baby food, snacks etc. That worked great for us. We didn't have to bring quite so much stuff. I think the biggest thing is to just relax. You are going to likely see less with a little one in tow. You will have to stop for additional diaper changes, snacks, bottles, etc. I wouldn't change it. In fact, this April, DD now 4 will be taking her little sister, who will be 10 months on her first trip.

I'll be taking my DD end of Sept/beginning of Oct when she'll be 1 years old so I'm subscribing to this for any tips! I've been to Disney several times but this will be my first time as a mom and my DH's first time ever! Any tips on how to balance an adults first time visit with a 1 year olds first time visit lol?!

Is it better to bring/make our own snacks or purchase in the parks? Since I'm a first time mom I don't have a sense of what she will be eating at a year old and if there will be appropriate food on the kids menu's that I can cut up more for her or if she should just eat from our plates cut up more? I'm wondering if it would be easier to go to the buffets for this reason lol.

Also there are some rides that say no height requirement but I'm wondering if they would be too scary for her, like the Haunted Mansion or even the first half of Pirates and if fireworks will be too late and loud.

At MK there's a little place over by splash mountain (I think it's still there's). It has a little house if I remember correctly.

At the boneyard in AK if you go in and go to the right there is a little slide there and a smaller area for little ones. It's usually been more uncrowned than the rest can be (without bigger kids running through).

The world showcase has lots of little out of the way nooks and crannies (though I can't vouch for them being good for crawlers). I think we spent lots of time with him walking around the Seas pavilion, too.

My baby is almost 7 now so I know a lot of the places we used are no longer there, but the ones above are I'm pretty sure. Have fun!

Thanks for the tips on walking! We leave on Saturday and are excited but a little nervous too. I'll pop back in too and give tips on having 10 month old twins there too :)

Following along as well we will be going in May with our then 10 month old daughter.
