Ok, this is the first time for me and my wife to be at WDW with our 20 week son . We are staying at OKW in a 2 bedroom villa with my parents and will be at WDW for 7 days. We have 5 day park hopper passes and plan on bringing a stroller and a bjorn baby carrier. We plan on visiting MK, Epcot, AK, and MGM. Any suggestions to make our trip easier with the little one and/or suggestions on attractions to make it fun for my wife and son?? Just need a little help on trip planning to make this a real fun vacation for all... :rockband:

Hi yemtig--we had passes in 2001 and went to all of the parks multiple times, starting when ds was around the 20 week mark. With the stroller and baby bjorn you should be in good shape--at this age they're pretty much happy to just go with the flow as long as the food comes at regular intervals! Make note of where the Baby Care Centers are in each park, as these are a quiet, temperature-controlled place to feed or change baby, and especially nice if mom is nursing. You will be able to take baby with you on most of the non-thrill rides, and baby will love looking around at all that is going on. Do be aware of action-type shows (like Indiana Jones at MGM) or the 4D movies, as they tend to have sudden, very loud noises that could startle or scare a baby. Fortunately at this age little ones are okay sleeping wherever, whenever, so you shouldn't have to worry about wearing him out, but do watch his signals and take breaks as needed. Have fun, and make sure you visit again when he's a little older, because there's nothing like experiencing Disney through the eyes of your child.

When are you going?? January? It will be a great trip! But if it's June or hot, baby carriers can be intolerable for baby and the walker.

When my middle child was 3 mos, my MIL brought everyone to AK for a mini-reunion. We arrived early, did the safari, saw Lion King show, and left by 12 Noon. It was May and too hot for baby and toddler. It was too hot to nurse outside, it was too sunny to keep baby out of the sling. (PS: We are native Floridians, too.)

We ended-up spending the day at the pool and never returned to the parks until youngest was 2 years old. At that point we discovered that many shows are too loud for baby ears.

You really need to plan many breaks (baby station, hotel) when travelling with little ones. You have the perfect type of accommodations for this. Enjoy the hotels and see the parks in a leisurely way. Remember that you'll be back another day. Enjoy
