Hi All,

I'm a newbie here. We are planning our disney vacation for 4/13-4/18. I am looking for anyone that has experience with taking small children to WD. I have 4 year old b/g twins and a 2 year old daughter. My question is about the stroller situation. I would like to get by just taking the double side by side stroller we have. I was hoping to have the kids just take turns walking and when they get tired switching spots with one of the others in the stroller. Do you think that is feasible? I just don't want to lug the double and a single on the buses all the time. Also any other helpful advice you might have on going to the world with small children would be helpful. TIA.

I have two girls 10 1/2 months apart. The last we went they were 3 and 2 I brought 2 umbrella strollers with us. It was much easier getting on and off the shuttles and monorails than having a double. Have you considered bringing two umbrella's (make sure they come with canopy's in case it is hot) and buying one of those buggy boards can get attached to the back? Even if you dont want to bring two umbrellas what about attaching the buggy board to the back of your side by side? Buggy boards are sold at Burlington and buy buy baby I think. I see them alot when we go to the Bronx Zoo.

Hope this helps!:thumbsup2

We went in Dec with an almost 5yo and 3.5yo. We bought 2 singles (after much debate) but the airline crushed one. So we made due with 1 the first 2 days. Neither kiddo wanted to ride much -the were walking most of the time. By the 3rd day I think it caught up and BOTH needed to ride at various points throughout the day. We ended up renting a single and it worked out great. We could leave the rental at the gate and big brother could handle walking from there. Or we would carry one kid.

Long-story short -you may just want to rent if/when you need it. The strollers (rentals) are great for bigger kids.

On our first trip we had a 4-year old and two 2-year olds. We brought the side by side twin stroller and an umbrella stroller for my four year old and we were so glad that we did. The two year olds needed the stroller most of the day. WDW is so overwhelming and even though they use to be little terrors at home, they sat still in those strollers all day. The four year old really needed a break especially if we were heading from one land to another. They also liked having them to wait for the parades and fireworks.

last year when we went my twins were 4.5 & my little one was almost 2.
We brought the double & an umbrella. It was perfect.....nobody had to fight over a seat ( other than WHiCH seat :rolleyes)
It got a lot of use the whole trip!

Hi Annienow-
If I had three kids with your youngest being 2 (I would not use a rental with an infant.) I would consider renting a double stroller in the Parks because I think your three kids would fit in all of Disney's park rental strollers-except for the Studios (MGM) ones. If you haven't seen them you can see them on the All Ears website... here is a link to their page.... http://allearsnet.com/pl/strol_faq.htm

I wouldn't do this in the Studios because they may still have a divider in the middle of them as they are pictured on that site. Since you would probably still bring your own stroller to Florida with you anyway, you could just use your own stroller and shuffle the kids on your MGM day(s).

I have seen big kids in the rental doubles. I am considering renting one for the first time for my 8 and 4 year olds girls when we go to EPCOT next month. They are too big for a regular stroller but I know they will appreciate the larger heavy duty WDW ones when they are really tired.

The strollers are made of hard plastic but you could put a towel down if you wanted to. There are only 2 seatbelts in each double, but your two 4 yearolds will probably be in and out of it so much that you would not be rebuckling them into their seats in betwen every thing you do anyway.

Whatever you decide I am sure you will have a wonderful time!! Enjoy the magic.
