My fiance and I are seriously considering having our wedding at Disney next year, and I was wondering if it is possible to do this in an affordable way? We don't want to bankrupt ourselves just to have a nice wedding.

What are your opinions and experiences?

Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at Disney's wedding website? The minimum for a weekday wedding is 10K but that doesn't include your Disney stay all all of those other things. If that sounds within your budget then there are things you can do to have a wonderful wedding for that price. How many guests do you think you would be having?

you could also look at the escape weddings that cater for up to 18 guests. that is the more cost effective way of doing it if you have a smaller guest list

We want to keep it as small as possible, maybe 30-40 guests max. I would like to stay in a range of 15-20K max!

I have checked the website, ordered the brochures and DVD. Just waiting on those things to come to get a better picture.

For that size guest list you can definitely pull off an amazing wedding for that price. I think that is very reasonable. Have you looked at the Wish book on disneyweddings.com ? It gives you all the reception locations and while not totally accurate it can give you a good idea for the minimums of each location etc. Good luck planning and ask away if you have any other questions!

we have 40 guests as well and so far our total is at right around 22K but that includes a lot of frills. Your planner will be able to help you stick to your budget.. they are great at coming up with ideas!

You can definately have an amazing wedding at that price through Disney. I went crazy and ended up just north of $20k with 33 guests.

It's a day that nobody will forget. You hear that at other weddings but this is truly magical and unforgettable.

You'll be able to have a wonderful wedding for that price!!! We had about 50 people and spent around 17-18K (that was for everything except the vacation itself and the dress!), and it included "extras" such as a dessert party, and Mickey & Minnie at the reception. For 30-40 people, it will be incredibly easy to stay in your budget!

It might just be me but I dont feel you get much more info from the brochures/dvd than you do from the website, and again it might just be cause I am in the UK but it was about 2 months from me requesting before they came. So maybe you should just phone up to speak to somebody.
