I just read a quick blurb online that said that Kirstie Kelly (who designs the Disney wedding dresses) is launching a new line of 6 sets of wedding & engagement rings (semi-mounts). They correspond to 6 Disney leading ladies-Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Princess Jasmine, Ariel and Belle.
They are listed as "Kirstie Kelly for Disney by Mouawad".
I'm excited and I'm not engaged or married, LOL!!!!
Anyone hear anything else?
:confused3

:( The second link wasn't working earlier, and now the second link does work and I find out it's $2,000. :( Hopefully it's for some princess I don't like, and then I won't want it anymore. :(

I've often wondered at the lack of "Mouse" wedding/engagement rings available. And why have a line in Japan and not elsewhere. It seems to me there would be a tremendous market.....

I know! I had my heart set on a mickey mouse engagement ring or even a wedding band with a subtle mickey mouse engraving, but we couldn't find it anywhere! Disney is definitely missing out by not offering anything like that. My engagement ring ended up being one of those CZ ones they sell in the gift shops!

I looked everywhere for a mickey wedding band...we went to see 4 different jewelers and finally found one willing to create one from scratch (well technically it's not mickey mouse obviously because of copyright issues....it's just 3 circles placed JUST right....).

Really I normally wouldn't go outside of Disney for something like this but there is no Disney store that you can buy them from besides Japan - and I am NOT buying rings online from a site that I don't know what I'm getting - I find the pictures on that site (in particular the mens band) it's really hard to tell what it actually looks like.

So I spent exactly 11 times my original "ring budget" but it's worth it in the end! lol :bride:

im not a big fan of Kristi Kelley for some reason. I don't know her stuff just doesn't seem "disney" to me. Everything is just kind of plain and boring.

This is what I wanted as well.:sad1:

I totally agree. They're suppose to be "inspired by," but I've never seen it. It just seems a marketing gimmick. Now, if they had made toned down, more subtle bridal versions of the actual princess dresses, THAT I would have been all over. :lovestruc

I agree. Wedding dresses inspired by the princess dresses would be great. For the rings, I just don't see the connection. The only one I like is the Cinderella one, but there is not enough info on it.

The pieces I ordered just arrived at my local jeweler, and they look incredible. I will post pics once the ring is constructed.

Has anyone heard any updates on these rings? As to if they will be available at any other jewelry stores? I would like to see them in person and not just on some website.

I have seen those rings - they are very pretty. I don't think that I really fell head over heels for any of them, but I don't think I would turn one down either! There is a ring that we saw, I believe at Epcot, that is silver, with a solitaire stone shaped like a mickey head - for those who are interested. But this ring was probably not as high quality as most engagement rings, I believe that it ran at around 2 or 3 hundred. It was still really cute though - my mom is in love with it!

Dh and I searched everywhere for a disney themed wedding ring - we in the end opted to buy our own wedding bands then had them engraved on the inside with 3 well placed circles and our wedding date.

DH never has a excuse to forget our anniversary!!!

When you say you saw them do you mean in person or online?
The ring your described sounds cute, will have to look around at epcot when I am there next.

One of my friends got married at the Grand Californian and she wanted a Mickey ring. So, they got a normal round diamond engagement ring and had a jeweler make a wrap for as her wedding band with two smaller round diamonds in just the right place.

When the two are put together, presto, it's Mickey.

I saw it in person. It wasn't overly expensive, so it probably wasn't the greatest quality, but it was definitely really cute! It was a couple of years ago that I saw it, but my mom was there recently and said that she saw it again, so hopefully it continues to be there! HTH

Does anyone know where you can find Disney Wedding bands here in the states?? I found one on Pinterest that I just LOVE and can't find a link anywhere to buy it!!

The Kirstie Kelly Disney rings are totally out of our budget. I love the Disney "Belle" engagement ring though. :)
