Hi Everyone:

I usually just hang out on the Weddings and Honeymoons thread but I thought I'd bop over here and see if any of you have any ideas for Disney wedding crafts??

We are trying to do our wedding "on the cheap" (which w/ Disney is kind of a joke :lmao:) BUT we thought maybe we could come up w/ some fun crafts that'd cut our cost down.

Thanks!

Sounds fun! What sort of crafts are you looking for? Favors? Centerpieces? For my own wedding I'll be carrying coffee filter roses and making my dress as well ;)

For some really incredible and unique ideas for any skill level, try searching craftster.org for some ideas. Many of the posts there have tutorials to go along with them.

Those coffee filter roses look awesome! I never would have guessed they are coffee filters! We have already decided on tulips for our wedding flower but if I hadn't...I would go w/ those.

We are still looking for ideas for favors and/or centerpieces....so any ideas are welcome! We want a favor that people are actually going to use or at least get some use out of.

thanks! :goodvibes

What about decorated trinket boxes? You can get plain wood boxes at walmart or michael's for anywhere from 50 cents - $5 each. I believe they sell wood photo frames as well.

Are there going to be kids there? You could make them heart shaped crayons and print out some Disney coloring pages. Of course, if you have friends like I do, you could just do that for the adults too! :rotfl:

I like the ideas you're coming up with. We are having a wide variety of people (but only 35) at our wedding, so I wanted to try and come up w/ something that was pleasing for all....(in reference to the favors).

I'm not crafty at all, however,my mom and sister are so I welcome crafty suggestions. It'll give them something to do. :rotfl:

Do you (or your mom or sister) have a Cricut??? There are several Disney cartridges. The other thing that is easy and inexpensive to make are sour cream containers....

Search you tube for "sour cream containers with Dawn" apparently I don't have enough posts to put the acutal link in here! oops.

I don't know what exactly you are looking for but for our disney wedding we made thank you favors in addition to our regular favors. They were mini plastic fairywands with organza bags with fairydust, attached was a tag with a fairy dust thank you poem on them. I am at work so I can't post pictures but if you look in my wedding journal you should find a picture of them in the napkins on the table.

Places like Michael's and AC Moore have very reasonable votive candles that are in plain glass holders. You can etch designs in the glass. Maybe a personalized monogram or a Mickey silhouette?

We are doing a Disney/Cinderella shower for my nephew and his fiance, It is in the fall and I was thinking of doing alot of little while pumpkins the ones that would fit in the palm of your hand- some with their monograms on them in a chocolate color and some sprayed with 3m spray adhesive and covered in glitter! and then a few glitter ones sitting on a scrolled thick wire stand turned to look like the carrage wheels. We will also be doing glass slippers on the tables at each seat. Im working on another shower so I havnt had a lot of time to but into this one yet but I will post more as I get working on it.
