Disney website sucks

Here I am up at 6am to make my 180+10 dining reservations and the website won't recognize my confirmation code. It says



Please continue to search and book available dining locations online without associating your dining plan. We were unable to link your Resort reservation to dining reservations.

Note: For pre-paid locations (Cinderellas Royal Table, Disneys Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Mickeys Backyard BBQ) or if you are trying to book more than 180 days in advance, please call Disney Dining at (407) 939-3463.


I am so annoyed by how much of a failure their website is. I am constantly having problems with it like logging in and I couldn't even pay off my balance without an error message. You would think a big corporation would get it together.
 
Yes the website can be challenging. I made all my ADRs through the website except one - the Fantasmic Dinner Package. I kept getting error messages each time I would hit the reserve button. After several attempts I didn't see that the date reverted back to yesterday and I was surprised when it finally went through. I was so excited until I got the confirmation e-mail and saw that the res was for yesterday! I called Dining and the very nice CM tried to adjust it to the date I wanted but there was no way to override it. I would still be charged the cancellation fee ($10 ea for 2 people). She said that I should keep a copy of the res and when I check in talk to the concierge at our hotel and explain what happened. She wasn't sure what they would be able to do but it is worth a shot. I tried one more time to make our Nov res while I had her on the phone and got the error message again. She was finally able to make the reservation for us.

So for those of you who wonder if you will be charge for a no show - you will and it is $10 per person not per reservation. So if you have a large party it can add up.
 
I had the same problem when making my ADRs. This has been an issue for so long. Very annoying.

Exact same thing happened to me. Got up early right on the first day, and BAM! -- same error message. I had to do all of mine by phone. After i hit inside the 180-day mark for each day, i was okay online. But so much for the +10 part. Very annoying.
 
I have found that sometimes I need to delete the cookies on my browser and then re-login into the Disney website to make it work

If I ran the place, IT would have been fired years ago. They are too concerned with cute and not concerned enough with function
 
It really has a lot of issues. The thing that drives me crazy is when you try to login to look at your reservations and it makes you login everytime you click on something new. It is ridiculous to have to login 5 or 6 times in a row.
 
Our 180 days was Saturday and it drove me mad having to put CC details every time made booking 10 meals take such a long time! I wish they could organise it so my CC details could just be added to them all at the end!
 
I have had too many problems with that site.. I only log on to see how many days and make sure my package and ADR's are still there. But this is the exact reason why I don't rely on making ADR's online and never will. I think it is so much easier talking to an actual dining rep over the phone and making them that way. i have never had issues of holding for more than 5 mins when calling. I have never had any problems before by calling, so doing it online won't make it any better and it seems as though its just one big headache that I'd rather not have. Good luck everyone who is trying to get on the website!
 
I guess I was just lucky. I signed in no issues, made all my reservations and had everything confirmed in 15 minutes. I thought it was so much better than sitting on hold for 30 minutes on the phone.
 
Same thing happened for me a few weeks ago when I was trying to book online. I'm not sure why it wasn't able to link the reservation since I booked the package online and it clearly came up under the reservations tab.
 
I was up at 6 am and the same thing happened to us. I then waited an hour for the lines to open up and wait 45 minutes to talk to someone. Thankfully we got all our reservations but it was very annyoing. You psych yourself up and think you are going to make all your plans then nothing goes through because of your confirmation #. I agree, very frustrating!!!! I had a hunch there would be a problem with the website. I have had a couple of friends try at different times for their trips and they experienced problems, too.
 
This happened to me too. I had to call Disney and make ALL of my reservations. It was only allowing me to book one day at a time even though I am staying at a Disney resort. :mad: And that was only after it FINALLY allowed me to log-in. I always have to try atleast 5 times to log-in. My reservations wont show up until I log-in over and over again. Very annoying!!
