Disney water parks in October

Hi everyone,

i am doing a trip in the first two weeks of October and was hoping to do one of the water parks as I’ve never been before. I just wanted to know when do they usually close for the season and Will the temperature be too cold in October? Also wanted to ask which one is better typhoon lagoon or blizzards beach?

Oct should be fine for a WP, especially if it is sunny out. Which is better is very subjective. Right now only TL is open as BB is undergoing a long refurbishment. We like the TL Wave pool better than BB. BB lazy river better than TL. We don't do the intense water slides at our age. Just go and enjoy!

Average temps in FL in early October is low 80’s. It has potential to feel quite hot.

Disney water parks are open year round except when one closes for refurbishment.

Blizzard Beach is currently closed. A reopening date has not been announced.

The only potential weather threats to your plans will be hurricanes and afternoon thunderstorms, not cold weather.

With a two-week window, you should have plenty of good weather opportunities to visit a water park.

We've loved the water parks in October. We've even sought out shade at the Orlando water parks in October (we live in NC). It's usually hot enough to enjoy swimming and walking around wet, even if it's breezy. But it's not usually so hot that the dry sidewalks feel like they'll burn your feet - feels like that in the FL summertime. You'll probably have multiple good water park days on an early October 2-week vacation!

They don't typically close both at the same time, so you should have no problem.
