I am aware of the new Magic Your Way tickets (multi-pass) uses the new biometric scan system for the Theme parks. Does anyone know if the Disney water parks or Disney Quest also use the biometric system or still have the old system of hand stamping if U leave and want to come back later in the day? :confused3

We were just there. For the day tickets you didn't have to use the biometrics. I have AP so just bought a day ticket. Everyone else had multiday passes with hoppers. They used biometrics. Hope this helps.

Ok could someone explain to me what a biometric ticket is, or how this works. Let me explain my situation here, we have 6 day tickets, no hopping, we will be going to a park in the morning, leaving for nap time and then going back to the same park that night, how does it work for you to leave and come back, do they stamp your hand or is this biometric thing how it works, please explain to me, I'm so confused. :confused3 :confused3

The biometric means that you will insert your fingers into the machine on the way into the park in the morning and then that becomes yours (and only yours) ticket. When you return to the park you will have to use the same ticket and they will know this by your finger scan.

Not sure if you still need the handstamp with this procedure in place.

Disney Quest does use biometrics. The only place on property still using hand stamps for "re-entry" is now Pleasure Island.

If biometric scanning is not in effect, it could be started any day now.

Last time I was at Pleasure Island (May), they had kiosks taht resembled fast pass kiosks, just beyond your reach, and the CM's ran your pass through them for you.

Pleasure Island does not use biometrics, and they won't. It's hard enough to get people to do the "finger thing" sober, let alone try and make them do it after a few drinks. There are some other things in store for Pleasure Island - and a lot of changes, but biometrics isn't one of them.

The "fast pass looking thing" is just a ticket scanning pedestal. It's basically a turnstile inside, just stripped down to bare bones so it doesn't take up space. It has all the electronics of a full park turnstile inside.
