Disney Visa

We received the same letter asking for the utility bills and SS card. We decided to forget it, wasn't worth the hassle. Guess what we received last week in the mail ~ our new cards! Truly amazing!!!

Maybe they'll mess up again in a good way and not charge us for our purchases! Ha ha.

Are you sure Connections isn't running this operation? Sure sounds like it! I'd be watching my bills like a HAWK

They asked me for a copy of my stuff. However, I chose not to send it because I didn't feel comfortable, I figured I'd use my other visa. However I was approved ANYWAY! A few weeks later I got the card in the mail.

I would not mail copies of my social security or bills to anyone.
My husband applied on line on March 31st and we received both cards today.

How can they send out cards to one person in one week and send letters requesting unnecessary information from others.

I know that when people apply in stores they ask for picture id's like a driver's license, but a utility bill? That does not make sense to me.

In my case it's because DH and I applied separately. Security kicked out his application because it saw two people with the same address. We keep some of our finances separate in case anything would happen to either of us and we need to have our own credit identities, we each have our own car, etc.

That is an incredibly stupid request! And yes, if someone is determined to steal your identity then they probably can. Rarely is someone obsessed with stealing a particular person's identity, however. They steal the identity of those who are easy to steal, and one of the primary items of info they want is your social security number. Most organizations are getting away from requiring your ss# as an id number due to this.

I would not be free and easy in giving out my SS number. I purchased a home two years ago and refinanced a few months ago and they definitely didn't ask for my card. As a matter of fact, I had to dig back into a very old wallet to even find my card because I was looking for every family members' SS card and passport, so that tells me I haven't been required to copy it for many years.

I also received the letter asking for the same info. I also recieved the letter, in error, saying I was refused. I requested a copy of my credit file, the same one that they already had without my mailed proof and the SS# is already on your credit file. So,they already have your SS#.
We recently moved to Florida from Illinois so I under stood the need to confirm that I am who I said I was.

I applied online, had no problems. Received cards for both DH and myself, as requested. One week later, I received the cards AGAIN, under the same account number, for both of us! I called them and they said just cut up one set of cards. One thing I did notice, though, was that the finance charge is done on the TWO cycle average, which means they can essentially charge interest for each month twice (sort of). Just a heads up- you don't want to carry a balance on this card! Pay it off monthly or the interes charges will soar!

I got this letter. I sent the info via priority mail...make sure that you have them sign for it. I was approved after I sent the info in. Have you moved recently? I just moved into my new home in Oct...I think that is why they asked for this info to be sent!! Hope this helps
