Disney VISA vs KTTW

There is supposed to be a discount for purchasing items with a Disney VISA, right? Is there a way to charge part of the purchase to the VISA and the rest with my Disney rewards? I was hoping to use the rewards for souvies...but I'd like the most bang for my buck.

Also, another poster had said that she charges everything to her KTTW card, then uses her rewards to payoff the balance. Would that be a possibility to charge souvies to the KTTW card? Are you able to use KTTW just in the parks, or does it work in DTD, too?

Not sure this makes sense. Trying to get it all sorted out in my mind before we get there.

You can use the KTTW cards at DTD and the parks.

You also just need to show them your Disney Visa. You don't have to actually make sure purchase on the Disney Visa to get the discount.

You can use your KTTW card almost anywhere on Disney property. Or, you can choose to just use your VISA. Or you can use both interchangeably.

I had the same questions 2 years ago and through experience can tell you that you can charge everything to your room (KTTW) and then at the hotel desk you can pay the balance with your Disney Rewards Dollars Card. I did this the last evening of our stay so I didn't have to bother with it at checkout both because we just did quick checkout and because there was no line one night after dinner at the front desk and I figured there would be for sure in the morning.

You should only need to SHOW your card for the discount, but this could vary I suppose.

Just give them your Disney Visa card as the one you apply to your KTTW card. This accomplishes both things! Earning points and only needing to carry one card.
