If you have upgraded to the new Disney Visa card ONLINE, you may want to call to check the status of the upgrade. One poster has reported that a rep told them it would take 20 days if upgrading online, and I personally called and was told they had NO RECORD WHATSOEVER of me upgrading. I had even tried to do it twice online just to be sure it had gone through and the second time it told me that I had already upgraded. The call took about 5 minutes, so you may want to check it out. So glad I called!

They have an new card option that gives you 2% back on certain categories, but it carries a $49 annual fee. You can read more about it at www.disneyrewards.com

I called and check on my card upgrade too. Did my upgrade online. Rep said that yes my card was upgraded and I should be receiving it any day now. Asked him when I would start earning the new pts and he said "you already are".

Both DH and I chose that design. The rep on the phone said "You know you don't have to get two of the same card, right?" I said, "yeah...but we both want that one because it is just so awesome."

The $100 offer is ONLY for new customers. Those who UPGRADE from the regular DV get 5% back in the special categories for the first 3 months. I plan to book our Oct. trip and pay it in full before my 90 days is up. Someone in the other thread also said that they could go to Kroger and buy gift cards for different places (like the mall which would not normally be in the bonus categories) and rack up a bunch of extra rewards since it would fall into the grocery category. We charge about $45,000 per year on our card. It is the only credit card we have. We use it for everything possible and always pay it completely off each month, so upgrading was a no-brainer for us.
