Disney Visa savings

Do they usually offer discounts for Disney Visa card holders? I was just wondering if it would be a smart thing to do to apply for one before our trip.

Although there are discounts with the disney visa, I enjoy the disney rewards dollars more(1% for each dollar you charge). I have used them for one night stay Poly concierge last year and this year we had $500 rewards for souvenirs and such. You can also use them for just about everything at WDW, DDP- room charges, shopping, snacks, etc. Your reward $ are transfered to a debit like card that you can use and the receipt tells you what you have left after each purchase. We use the disney visa card for most monthly expenses then pay off each month...it is a nice perk if you go to disney as much as we do (we are dvc members).

I agree. The Disney VISAs biggest perk are the reward dollars. If you don't have much time before your trip this year, there's always future trips to accrue the rewards Each reward dollar is equal to $1 in currency and can be used throughout the parks and resorts (although I do see the list a bit shorter this year than last). Before the travel industry recovered to current record levels, we got special deals through VISA, one year saving $400 in resort cost. I don't expect to see that type of deal again soon, but free money is still free money

I've been a Disney Visa Card holder from day 1 and I have been very disappointed with any perks they offer. My goodness even the 1% they give you on the rewards card is small compared to what many other cards offer.

the chase disney web site had nothing offered re WDW last week (room discount, free photo, etc.) when I checked during the 40% code flurry.

I have never seen anything on that site. Even when I have heard about a promo on the Dis, I couldn't find it there. I called them too and they weren't very helpful.

At least when bankone had it there were some offers and the site did more than give some bogus message about not being able to complete your request.
