I've been saving up my Disney Visa Rewards for my disney trip. We're leaving April 25th. Do the rewards just go straight to a gift card and they mail it? Or is there another way to redeem? How soon should redeem them to make sure I have them before we leave? TIA!

Give yourself about 3 weeks for your card... I would go ahead and order it after you get your March points added to your account... then when your April points hit your account you can just transfer them to the card... that way you will atleast have the card in your hand!!!

My last gc took 1 week to arrive. I ordered a $20 gc & when it arrived, I went online & added the remaining balance to it. This way, if it got lost in the mail, it only had $20 on it.

I also got one a HS last November when we were there. You can pick it up at guest services. Be sure to have the CC & your ID, they'll give you the card & then you have to call a number to activate it & tell them how much you want on it.

Have fun!

I didn't realize that my rewards card had expired when I tried to transfer my points about 4 days before our trip. I was able to go to customer relations in the park and pick up a card. They even had a 'mickey phone' where I was able to call and activate and transfer my points so if you don't have enough time to get it mailed, that is an option.

I would call Disney Visa to check but when we went in September, I was able to take my credit card and info to the main hall (I think it's called City Hall) in the Magic Kingdom and get my rewards card and transfer the points all at one time. It was super duper easy! The CM acted like it was an everyday thing that they do. Until that point, I had never transferred points to a rewards card so I had NO clue what to do. By the way, hold onto your rewards card even if it doesn't have points b/c you can continue to transfer points to it for a given amount of time (check the expiration on the rewards card for that.) Good luck and feel free to message me if I am confusing you and you need clarification! :goodvibes

It basically acts like a gift card that you can use on a multitude of Disney products (Disneyshopping.com, Parks, etc). The following web page has some information about redeeming awards:

You can order the card and I would recommend doing this at least 4 weeks before your trip, OR you can now pick this up within the parks so if your visiting there look at the locations on this web page above.

That is exactly what I did for my March trip....I waited until my Feb. points accumlated and then called to get my card. The agent on the phone told me that it would take 4 days for the card to get processed and then up to 2 weeks for me to get it by mail, or I could of put a rush on it....at the time I called we weren't leaving for Disney for 5 weeks.
