If I understand the terms and some other posts I've read you can only use $10 DDRD for every $50 in purchases. My DW and I are going to WDW in September and are trying to figure out how we can use them. The rooms and passes are already paid for so could we turn them over to the CM at the desk when we check in and have them credited to our room that way when we use the charge feature for the room key / passes we start off with a positive balance? Anyone with any experience out there?

The disney reward dollars have been debated on here before. If I remember correctly the outcome was that the $10 rewards dollars when buying something that's $50 real money was just an example of how you can pay with a combination of rewards dollars and cash. The only catch to worry about with rewards dollars is that you don't get change for them. SO, if you are buying something that's 11.99 you give them your $10 rewards dollars and a buck 99 in cash. If something is only $3 you might not want to use your reward dollars because you're not going to get your $7 back.

I can't remember what they said about adding it to your account as a credit. Maybe someone else will chime in with that info.

You could certainly use your DDRD for a credit at the hotel front desk. As long as it's a Disney hotel (and of course it is, right? ;) ) You could also use them for food or merch in the parks.

jordgubben is right about using them - you can use any amount you like on any purchase size you like, you just won't get any change.
