Disney visa rewards--timing?

Leaving for WDW on June 3rd. When should I request my Disney Visa rewards so that I will have them for this trip??

You may request a rewards card now, which is delivered pretty quickly. I believe I received my Rewards Card within a week after ordering.

You may transfer your reward dollars to your reward card online. I just transferred my balance to my card last week and it registered that day.

I plan on taking my rewards card with us on our next trip. Hope this helps!

I think you can just request your rewards right at disney and don't even need to pre-order the card.

So in other words I can order my rewards card and then right before we go transfer any additional points? Is that right?

Debbie - that's exactly what I just did in Jan. I ordered my rewards card with $20 of my rewards. I just called the # on the card the day before we checked out of BWV and had the rest of my rewards put in the account. The morning I checked out I took my rewards card to the front desk to apply to my bill and they had already charged my Visa - they credited me the amount of my rewards and took it back off that card. To save myself that time in the future, I'll stop at the front desk the day before and apply my rewards credit to the bill. I just didn't want to have all of my rewards pts on my card (once moved over they then have an expiration date) until I was there (you never know!) and had spent that much money. Just found out I can put my son's new braces on the card - already racking up rewards for my next trip !

Just another timing question. We're using our card for the first time this month. Billing cut off date is 3/26. We're leaving for Disney on 5/2/04. Can I call as soon as the bill arrives and request the card? I'm sure we'll have more than $20 since it includes our Dream maker package. I'd like to get the card and then transfer any available points right before we go. Not sure when we will need the points after this trip
