Disney Visa Rewards Question

I recently got a Disney Visa card to transfer the balance of another card I was trying to pay off. I have used it a few times for little things to earn rewards. I keep checking my account online and there are no rewards 'points' listed.

How do I start earning rewards points? Do I need to get the rewards card first? I'm confused!

Hi!

How long have you had your card? Your rewards dollars are awarded a day or two after your billing statement date. You will receive 1% of what the total of your bill is. Those rewards wil continue to accrue until you request a rewards card and have the rewards dollars transferred to it.

Also, you do know that you do not get rewards dollars on balance transfers, don't you?

I really like our Disney Visa. :)

That explains it! I haven't received a bill yet!! Ok so then I should just work on earning rewards and then request the rewards card a couple months before our trip?

I knew it didn't count on balance transfers, but I have been using it in the past few weeks for grocery shopping, drug store, etc.

Thanks so much!

Yep! ::yes:: But you don't have to order it that far before your trip. The card comes within a week or so. OR you can pick the card up and have the rewards dollars transferred to you at Guest Services at Disney. :)

I use my Disney Visa for everything that I can use a credit card for and just pretend that it is like a debit card - I subtract the amounts out of my checking. That way I use it for everything that I can, and don't get in over my head.

Also, since you have a transfer, your rewards dollars will NOT be awarded on your balance. It will be awarded on the total of your monthly purchases.

Hope that this helps! :)

Just a Tip.

They will apply any payment you make to the balance transfer first. So you will pay the higher interest rate (13% ??) on your purchases untill you get you balance transfer paid off. FYI
