Disney Visa Rewards Question

Good Morning!
We leave for our upcoming trip on October 1st and my Visa bill cycle ends on the 22nd. If I wait till the end of the cycle in August, can I redeem my reward and have my reward card by the time I leave?

You can pick up a redemption card at any Guest Relations location at WDW.

I wouldn't risk it. I've had it take over 2 weeks to receive mine before and even had it lost once and had to have it re-issued. It's very easy to do once you're there. If you do choose to have it mailed to you, I suggest only putting the minimum on your card, then you can call and add whatever amount you want to it. This way, if it's lost and used, you won't lose all your rewards.

Not sure the ins and outs. I do know you can spend $10 to have a card shipped quickly. We had one fed exed for our trip last week.

I don't think my husband knew about picking up at guest relations.

Get it early. You can add more to it later on. And just FYI....my husband accidentally threw our card away along with the receipt from our Dole Whip, we went to Guest Relations and they were able to cancel that reward card and get a new one issued to us right then and there.

Thanks everyone! Good info! I plan on putting my trip balance on there but didn't want to do that until the last minute so I can earn the most interest in the savings it's in. I'll be calling now and having it done early.

I'll repeat, you can pick up a redemption card at any Guest Relations location at WDW. Once they give you the card, you can call Chase and have your reward dollars transferred to it.

And just to clarify, there are Guest Relations windows at each of the four parks and DTD (near Ghiradelli). As far as I know, those are the only locations where you can pick up a card. If another DIS'er knows different, please post!

We use our rewards all the time. Love Disney Visa! My husband and I both have an account.

I just got my reward card about six months before my visit, loaded with my points to date. I then just went on every couple of months and added to it. I even added my last points via computer on my statement close date while I was at the resort (day two of the trip). I kept it in the same place as my collection of Disney Gift Cards from Target until the trip.

Yes, when I went last time, I went to the Guest Relations in the Magic Kingdom on my first day and did exactly this. It's also worth noting that the very friendly representative at Chase told me my funds were available instantly.
