How long does it generally take for you to receive your rewards redemption once you've cashed in? I have a good amount saved up for my next trip, and I'm just wondering when I should redeem them.

FWIW, you can do it AT the parks. Guest Relations (Services?) inside of each park (and at DTD) can give you a redemption card. You then phone the number and move the reward dollars to the card immediately.

You can cash in a small amount, I think the lowest is $10 or $20 for them to send the card. Then, when your ready transfer the rest online to your card. Transferring online is immediate but you have to have the redemption card first.

The rewards card usually comes within 2 weeks. I usually order mine with only $20 on it a few months before needed and then transfer all remaining dollars right before our trip.

As others mentioned, I will order mine in advance with just $20 or so on it.

Also bumbershoot makes a great point about transferring points instantly over the phone. Last trip I just called while I was walking around Epcot. (My statement closing is the 1st of the month and our trip started on the 30th so I was able to call and get the rest of my rewards dollars a few days into the trip)

I did this at MK on my last trip. Stopped at Guest Relations, got a card and then called the phone # while I was walking down main street. Easy and had my rewards in time for breakfast.

Glad to know someone else did it. :)

We had the rewards *debit* card, and therefore don't have anything to get a rewards card with now, but it was so easy (except that the GR person first gave me a credit redemption card, which doesn't work at all for the debit redemptions!).

I kind of played around with my rewards last September. Requested one by mail, and added some to my redemption card that I'd picked up in person the December before. I *hated* waiting for that card to come in the mail! I don't know why anyone does it, if they'll be at a disney park any time soon.

Sounds like this is the way to go! Thanks everyone!!:goodvibes
