I just received and was approved for a Disney Visa with a $200 gift card issued after your first purchase. I pray they will mail it quickly so I can make that first purchase ASAP. Our trip is at the end of Dec and I would like to use the gift card for tips at ADRs and souvenirs. I've read previous posts but I'm still unclear on a few things and hope you'll be able to help.
1. How fast will I receive the $200 gift card after my first purchase?
2. Someone mentioned on a post the $200 is credited as reward points and this can be redeemed at WDW. How do I do this if this is the case?
3. I've read about the photo opportunities with being a Disney Visa card holder. Is this just at MK and Epcot or at all the parks at WDW?
4. Is there any other bonuses I should know about with having a Disney Visa card?
Thanks, Jen
p.s. For those who are curious, I received the offer in the mail and did nothing that I know of to prompt it.

When I took advantage of the $200 offer, I received a Disney Gift Card in the mail with $200 on it. The $200 was not given to me as Reward points. I had a different card that I was given for Disney Reward Dollars (points earned from using my Disney Visa card). I can't remember if the $200 gift card was sent to me as soon as I made my first purchase or after I paid my first bill.

As far as the Disney Card Meet n Greet, it is at Epcot in a specific location during a specific time period during the day so you will want to plan ahead to take advantage of this if you want to participate.

You also can get 20% off certain guided tours if you are a Disney Visa Cardholder.

you also get the discount at stores, i believe it is 10% off over $50. the first year i had only had the card for a few weeks so i put my points on the reward card and used that for souvenirs. the first year i bought as i went b/c i believe i could only get that discount at the big store in DTD.

the second year i found out it was all giftshops so the second to last day i went to the one at our resort and they had almost everything i had wanted and i combined with my mother's things. we did the same thing at MK the last day. i saved my rewards that year for photopass b/c i got a great code at MNSSHP to use.

hint about the characters, they will not tell you who is inside as they switch them. but if the line is decently short you can do what we did, my mother went up to a nice family who was leaving and asked who they just got to meet. the CM was a bit annoyed but at least we had a clue who we were getting in line for. also you can use the free photo for anything on the photopass card. so get one the first day and use it at the visa character meet n greet. if you hate the pics or character get something else.

When I received that offer a few months back, mine was for a $200 gift card which arrived in the mail just about 2 weeks after I made my first purchase. I called after I made my first purchase but they told me that the system was set up to Automatically send the gift card once you used the card.

We never made it to the character meet and greet At Epcot but the nice CM's at the photopass shop let me pick another photo to print for free. I've heard some will, some won't. Guess we were lucky! I used the card at World of Disney for the extra 10% off. I hope to use it for the extra 20% off the Keys to the Kingdom Tour one of these days!!!

And don't forget you get 6 month interest free financing on vacation pkgs!!

I copied the info below for our last trip and finally did the picture. It was great!

For Disney Visa cardholders, a special free private meet & greet is offered
daily 1:30 - 4:30 pm at Epcot. Located in the Innoventions West building, just
past the Where's The Fire? and Play It Safe exhibits is a curtained off area.
Guests with card in hand may join the line for their own private meeting with 2
or 3 of the fab five. Not only will there be a Disney's PhotoPass photographer
onhand to take as many photos as you wish, but each account (up to 2 accounts
per family) is entitled to a free 5x7 print available later at the Camera
Center. While each account is limited to one print a day, cardholders are free
to visit multiple days of their vacation if they wish. Depending on the Cast
Member at the Camera Center, many guests have reported to be able to receive a
print of any Disney's PhotoPass photo instead of the Visa meet & Greet photo,
especially after expressing disinterest in the latter.
