Disney Visa Rewards points question..

Didn't know a good spot to post this, but I'm wondering, does booking a Disney vacation on your card not count towards points? I'm leaving in 34 days so I want to order my rewards card, but the points had not shown up yet from when I paid off my trip... Thanks!!

The points post after your closing date on your billing cycle. If you have at least 20 points, order your card now and then you can transfer (takes mere seconds) your trip payoff's points once they are posted.

it counts, but your points don't show up until your monthly statement -- they only do them once per month

I actually found myself sad that I wasn't paying for this trip upfront...it means I can't put it on my card and get the points. hahaha. I have a month and a half to save up more points before the trip and am actually counting to the 10 which is completely nutty, but I am hoping that my points for this month haven't added yet and I will actually have more than I thought. I understand the point excitement!

You can also go to guest services once you are there and get a card. I did this once and it was very easy. I didn't want to stress about it coming in the mail and maybe not making it to me before the trip.

Yes, the quickest and easiest way to get the card is to get it from Guest Services from DTD.

They just hand the cards out to you and then you call the number on the envelope to transfer your points to your card. The CM's dont even ask you about how many points you have, they just give the cards out

And you can call and add more dollars to the existing card any time. For example, if your posting date is mid-trip, you can use what you already have at the beginning of the trip and call later in the week to retrieve the rest.

Thanks for the replies everyone!! Now i'm on the site and I can't seem to find the friggen link to order the card!! Seems like when I was waiting and waiting it was staring me in the face, now that I want to get it on its way, I can't find the stupid thing!! Ugh!

You need to be on your Chase account, not the rewards site. Once there, click on "show rewards", click on "see rewards details" and look for the words "redeem rewards" and click.

I picked my card up at Guest Relations on the way into EPCOT, stepped away from the window, made the call and all my points were transferred. It was a lot better than stressing about the card coming in the mail.

I wish I had read this before I ordered my card last week... I just hope that I can stay calm and wait for the card to get here. It isn't a ton of points but its enough to help cover the ticket for the week!
