How far in advance do you have to ask for your Disney Reward Dollars for your trip? We leave in three weeks...is that enough time or did I blow it? And how do you do it?

I forget how soon we cashed ours in, but we had an option to send it faster.....and we got it within a week I think.

Used it all at the booth for Food & Wine Festival. LOL!!!

Do you have the actual rewards card yet or do you still need to order it? If you already have it, you can transfer reward dollars over and use them to make a payment that day--I just did it on Monday with no problem.

You can go to Guest Services at DTD and they will give you the rewards card and direct you to a phone you can use to have your points applied to the card immediately. I've done this 3 times now and I found it easier than calling to order the card early (which is what I did the first time). And, you're not worried about the card making it on time. We always visit DTD, so it's not an inconvenience to us. If you never make it to DTD, it might be an imposition.

I learned something new! Thanks Sandi, I had no idea you could get the card at DTD. That is really cool because my mailman doesn't understand the concept of delivering mail to the right address.

MY daughter forgot her rewards card in June we called Disney Visa and they told us to go to DTD guest services and get a new one there. We were leary but no problem we were in and out in less than 5 minutes.

Yes--it's really easy. You have to have a minimum number of dollars (maybe 10?), but can transfer any even dollar amount over it. I just transfered the $161 I racked up between our last trip and this billing cycle.

When ordering new cards always just tranfer the $10 or $20 lowest allowed amount. That way if something happens to that card you only lose that small amount of points. Then right before you leave transfer the rest when you have card in hand.

Or do the DTD thing it's real easy.
