I paid my bill yesterday and it's showing on my online statement that it has been paid and my balance reflects that but my reward dollars are not showing on my rewards page. It still shows the same thing it did before I made the payment. I should have 26 more dollars this month.

Does it take a few days to go through or should I be making a phone call? Thanks.

I believe they show up a few days after the end of the billing cycle.

Okay...my last billing cycle ended on 9/23, my 13 reward dollars that I earned in that cycle are still not showing on my account. If I go to "view reward dollars history" on the webpage, it will show my previous balance of 35 and 13 earned from net purchases but at the bottom where it says available balance, it still is showing only 25. What is the deal?

I'll probably just have to call them and see what's up but I'm not a big fan of sitting on hold listening to the same message over and over again: "Your call is important to us, please stay on the line and a representative will be with you shortly"...they must have a different idea of the word "shortly" than I do, huh?
\
Anyway, if anyone knows why they aren't showing up can you please clue me in? Thanks!

I'd call them - my statement dates end on the 4th of each month. When we left on the 10th I was able to use all of my reward $$, including that statement, which I didn't pay until I returned at the end of the month. I even called and questioned them, thinking I would pay the bill ahead of time if I needed to and was told that I could access the reward $$ as soon as I received my statement, not after I had paid it. So if you have already paid your bill, the reward $$ should definitely be available by now !

Maybe someone here can help me too....I didn't receive a statement for my Disney Visa and so didn't pay one months bill. I went online and caught it like 2 days late and payed. O.K.., so this is what happened ..charged me a late fee but no finance charge. Weird...but maybe the finance charge is coming. Anyway, I paid the balance off so my balance is now $0. My points never got posted are they gone since I payed late or will they still post? It's been almost a month. Anyone ever have any experience with something like this?

They say it takes 8-10 weeks to get the rewards. When I finially got mine out of $7000.00 got $31.00 reward dollars because a lot of our charges were "other" and that didn't qualify for double rewards.

What do you use your reward dollars for? Park Hoppers, Disney Dollars, etc.?

how do you cash in your Disney Dollars?
I have a whole bunch and am booking my trip and would like to use them -

MsMulan - I use my rewards points for meals, souvenirs and any other expenses that I can charge to my room key - the day before check out I call the # on the back of my rewards card and have them move over enough points to cover what I've charged (usually all of them!). That way I don't move more points onto my reward card than I need that trip - remember that as soon as you move points over to the card, they have an expiration date (mine have been within the year)- as long as they stay in your account they don't expire for (I forget just how many) years.

Last trip I moved my points over before a planned lunch that we ended up cancelling and I had an extra $100 on my card with a 12/31 exp date - fortunately I'm going back in Dec., but if I hadn't been, I'd have lost those points!:(

how do you cash in your Disney Dollars?

pattyT - do you mean rewards points? I just go on line or call the #800 and order a rewards card with the minimum amount ($20)- then I transfer the balance the day before check out (it's easier to stop at the front desk the night before check out and have them apply the rewards points to your bill) - the first time they automatically charged everything to my VISA and slipped that bill under my door overnight - I had to go down to the front desk that morning and she had to issue a credit, then apply my rewards points, call over a manager . . . . . . it took a while  - now I know to go down the night before!:smooth:

How do you earn the reward dollars? I looked on the web site, but it doesn't give any specifics. We are DVCers, so I wouldn't need it for a hotel bill. But I'd probably use it for tickets every year. What kind of purchases earn reward dollars? And what's the percentage? Thanks.

An FYI if anyone's in that situation again--you can take your Visa Rewards card to the Disney store and buy Disney Dollars (which of course have no expiration).

Virtually all everyday purchases earn 1%. They occasionally offer double reward dollars promotions. I simply charge everything I can to it (including utility bills) and pay it off each month. There are codes floating around to get $50 for opening an account, make sure you use one if you do open an account.

Another FYI...you can go ahead and apply all your reward dollars to your account when you check in. I understand that the above poster waits until the last minute to transfer over her reward dollars, but I think the more common scenario is that people transfer their reward dollars balance before they leave (and thus have it with them when they check in). I did this last trip with no problem (and was eternally thankful I did so when my wallet was stolen during our trip :( )

I think I am getting 1 percent for ALL my purchases. It seems like the double reward offers are for the "everyday" purchases that are over a certain amount. I'm not sure if this will still work, but if you go to www.50disneyrewards.com they give you the code to sign up for the Disney Visa where you get $50 rewards after your first purchase. You can even quickly sign up on line, just plug in the code.

Jenny, you can use your reward dollars to pay your membership dues.

Called Bank One last week and had them transfer my earned rewards dollars to a reward dollar card. She asked me should she transfer them all--"yes"--and indicated they should arrive by a certain date and gave me a confimation number--all easy, straightforward etc.

Except, when I rec'd the card, there was an expiration date of 12/05 on the bottom of it. Upon further investigation:

When you get the reward dollars transferred to a card, you must use them by the expiration date or you Forfeit Them!

Just make sure you don't put anything more on the reward card then you can use (in a 60-day time period?). You can always add more reward $$ to the card, but you lose what you don't use by the expiration date. Be Careful!!

I have under $100 reward dollars and just got my rewards card in the mail yesterday (took about 6 days to get since I've ordered). Since hotel and tickets have already been paid, using rewards $$ for souvenirs or meals. Card has expiration date of 12/05 otherwise you lose the money if you don't spend before that time. Additonally, it seems like it is best to keep the rewards card even after you've used the $$ as Disney will charge you $10 if they have to issue you more than 2 reward cards in a years time period. They try to encourage you to reuse the card as you simply have to transfer the $$ by phone should you go back in a years time (I'm not to crazy on this issue as I prefer to throw the card away when I have no money left on it instead of having it sit around at my home and forgetting it is there).
