I've accumulated a fair amount of Disney Dollars using my Disney Visa for my trip in September. I know that I get benefits of no interest for 6 months or something if I book my trip with my Visa. How does this work exactly? Do I just pay for it with my card and it recognizes it? Or do I actually have to get on the phone and do it that way mentioning my card? Also, can I use my Disney Dollars to help pay for the package? Or do I just have to put them on reward cards to use at the park? And finally, can the rewards cards be used to pay for tips if I get the free dining? Thanks all!

Yes, it will automatically know that you're using the Disney Visa, no extra steps needed. I payed online last year and it was handled perfectly. I don't know if/how you can use your rewards to pay for part of the package, but you should be able to since you can use them in person at Disney to pay for room or tickets. Probably best to call Chase to ask about how that works. And yes, at most restaurants you can pay with the card - if it's on the dining plan, it should take the card for any a la cart items or tips. Some non-Disney places won't accept it, but I wouldn't think they would accept the dining plan either.

You can only use the rewards to pay disney, not to pay chase.

So, what you could do for example. Book your package and pay the $200 deposit (get the 6months interest free). Get your rewards card and call disney and use your rewards dollars to pay down some of the balance. Then put the remainder on your disney visa (again, get 6 months interest free).

Does that make sense? I suppose you could also put your initial depost on the rewards card though I've never tried that. Yes, you can use them for tips - or if you are staying on site (assuming you are with free dining) pay tips using magic band charged to your room and then pay down that balance at the resort front desk with the rewards card.

You don't have to do anything special, the system will recognize your disney visa card. Yes, you can pay for your room or package with your Disney Dollars. I just payed off my balance and saw that listed as an option. We paid for the whole package with our Disney Visa, will take the six months interest free, and we're using our accumulated Disney Dollars to pay for the room charges for our meals and souvenirs while there.
