Its "crunch time" so I'm trying to put as many expenses through my Disney Visa as I can so I earn as many reward $ as possible. I once read a comment regarding a limit to the number of payments you can make per month and still earn rewards. Hoping someone with experience can shed some light on this so I don't have to read the fine print. :)

Do I need to leave charges on the account for a certain amount of time to earn the rewards?

Is there a limit on the number of payment I can make in a month?

Any other ideas to maximize the reward $ earned each month?

No there is no minimum time period during which a charge needs to remain on your account before it counts toward rewards. But you cannot pay for a charge until it has posted.

I believe that Chase will allow you to make 3 (or 4?) transactions per month on their website. You can also "bill pay" from your bank account in accordance with your bank's rules and those e-payments will not count toward the number of transactions that Chase limits you to.

Use your card for every purchase that accepts CCs, no matter how small. Offer to make purchases for friends and family as long as they pay you for their purchase before the billing cycle is complete. The latter involves a good degree of trust, so do not attempt it unless the person is reliable.

Darn, I made a large purchase and then transferred funds before it posted. (I had a positive balance of over $1,000 for a few days until to charge posted.) Does that mean I won't earn credit for the charge. Is so, I guess too late to worry about it now.

Thanks so much for the info!!!

No. You'll still get the credit for the purchase. It's just that Chase normally does not allow you to make payments through their website for more than your current balance. I'm not sure how you were able to do it?

It was a bit weird. My account balance was -$1, xxx for several days. Its seemed like it took forever for the charge to post. Thanks for the info.
