This is just a hypothetical situation that may play out over the next few months.
We are planning a trip to Disneyland in March. I hope to have about 200 Reward Dollars by then. I will want to prepay my hotel costs, and will probably book via Expedia two or three months out. Therefore, my rewards will be credited to my reward balance. Well, what if three weeks before we leave, the hotel rate drops or I can get a cheaper AP rate? I decide to cancel my Expedia reservations with a 25 dollar penalty, that money is credited back to my account, and then I will rebook through Expedia again or through the hotel. What will happen to my rewards since that 1,000 or so dollars that I have already gotten rewards for is credited back to my account? I will spend almost that probably when I rebook, but that will be so close to the vacation I wouldn't have gotten credit for it. My fear is that they will put a hold on the Rewards Card and I won't be able to use it on vacation. Anyone know the answer to this?
