Disney Visa promos?

I have had a Disney Visa for 2 years and have never received any promo codes for a Disney vacation. Is that normal? I have the free one and not the one with the annual fee. Does that matter? I got this card mainly so that I might receive some of the deals others hear on the Dis speak of but have never benefited this way. Does it help to call and ask?

it does not matter whether you have the regular or premier card.

are you signed up for emails?
if so you should be receiving the same info as everyone else.
disney visa card members have not gotten much in the way of advanced notice/pre public booking on offers in the last couple years.
however we did get advanced booking for free dining and the late summer early fall room rate discounts this year.
i did receive an email about it although i had already booked earlier that morning prior to receiving the email.

Like the above poster said you should be getting emails. Maybe call and make sure they have the correct email on file? I usually get emails and additionally things through the mail, like coupons to the Disney store and stuff. I also have the free one.

To my knowledge there is no 'code' with the VISA - all I've ever done is call & book with my visa a few days sooner than public offers. I rely on disboards to know when offers are available (the DIS is always faster) though like PP said I get emails, fliers & can check online through the 'special offers' section of the visa website.

Only codes I'm aware of are PIN codes & to my knowledge no one has figured out WDWs algorithm for consistently determining who gets those...

They just today released a code for up to 25% off Disneyland hotels. I will look for a link.
ETA: sorry, no specific code.

I would sign up for mousesavers.com newsletters. They are very quick to get word out of all discounts.

I signed up for Disney Visa in 2007, and received my first Free Dining offer and up until 2014 DV have been letting its card holders book FD before the public then the offers have died out. I don't even use my DV anymore, I have other CC that offer more benefits and Rewards. What i do use it for now is to get into the Chase Lounge at the Food and Wine Festival in the American Pavilion. Our last Disney trip they also offered a special section to view Illuminations if you had a Disney Visa. But that's about it.
