I just applied for the Disney Visa-got a great offer-the $200.00 gift card.
Could someone walk me through the benefits? I've got a trip to WDW coming up and still have $3400.00 to pay. I've got my money put aside. If I put pay using my Disney card (I will pay it off immediately), will I get rewards for it?
The way I understand it, they will give you a gift card of $1.00 for every $100.00 charged. Does that mean I will get another $34.00? I also buy a lot from Disney online and the local Disney store. Do I get a percentage off both?
I'm sure this has been explained. I just can't find the info for a brand new card.
Thank you to all!

Once you get the card you will be able to log into the account online and you will also have access to all the benefits of the card. I think you will also receive something in the mail that explains it.

To answer your immediate question. Most definitely put your trip on the card. You will receive $1 for every $100 you put on the card. I use it for pretty much everything and pay it off once a month. Just using it for my regular shopping and gas adds up. Congratulations for getting the $200 offer. :goodvibes

Where did you get the $200 gift card option? All I keep seeing is the $40 statement credit and I'm holding out for more :).
Thanks!

I got it in the mail. Usually I don't even look at cc offers. Glad I took the time to read this one!

I've had my card for 4 years now. At that time I had 6 months no interest on a Disney vacation. I paid the minimum until the 6th month then paid it off. I charge everything I can to get points. We should have $ 300. dollars for this years trip. Don't forget you get discount at all Disney stores for purchases over $50. too. Make sure you tell the cast member our last trip we were getting it on every purchase but I don't thing it was meant to work that way.

the offer I received was for new cardmembers. 200 Disney dream reward dollars after first purchase. They can be redeemed for $200 worth of Disney merchandise, park tickets, hotel stays, etc.

Do you still have the mailer for that $200.00 GC offer? I received the same offer but cannot find the mailer, I called CHASE and they told me that the mailer should have a phone number or website to direct you to the reward and then it is validated by your SSN. Thanks for any help!

My DH got that offer in the mail. I just wanted to let you know, you have to activate and use the card right away. Then you get a statement, and the $200 will be in the rewards section (it may take 4 weeks to show up) along with any other accumulated reward $. You then order a rewards card to use the money. If your trip has already gone by you can use the rewards $ for shopping online, or even save for your next trip :)

Thanks Debbie, I just need the phone number off of the mailer to contact them. Do you have it by any chance?

I'm jealous... I recently got my Disney Visa, but I didn't get a special offer. I just applied on my own. No bonus for me... :sad1:

DD17 and I are staying at Poly for 14 nights this August. I received an offer in April with my name. I opened an account, charged once on it, then when my statement came in I requested the $200 Rewards card. The beginning of June an offer came in my husband’s name, did the same and was thrilled to have $400 free to use at Disney. At my mom’s last week, she mentioned she received the same offer. I asked to see it. They offered to open an account to get the $200 reward and give it to me. She just received the credit card yesterday, and will use it today. When she called to activate, she was told the statement ending date of July 8 so I should have $600 free to use at Disney. I’m soo excited!!!

We just got back from Disney on June 19th. We got the same offer from Disney Visa. It was great to go there with $300 from our package and $200 from Disney Visa......

My pixie dust came through and I was approved for a Disney Visa card with the $200 gift card offer on Tuesday :woohoo: I am anxiously waiting to get it :tink: I am going to have my daughter apply too so she will also have $200 for our next trip in April :yay: Just today I got my second $150 gift card offer in the mail :goodvibes Guess they really want my business :rotfl2: Sure glad I waited

Is it true you get a $1 Disney reward for each $100 you charge on your Disney visa? Any purchase?

Yes. There are times you can get bonus points, however they are VERY hard to get. For example, they would give you 2x or 5x bonus points on certain categories after you spend a certain amount on the categories.

And the offers are different based on spending patterns it seems.

For me for example, it's 2x bonus, on groceries and gas stations, once you spend $800 on groceries and gas stations. Needless to say, I never get the bonus points...

BTW,

Do you know if you needed to be targetted to get the $200 offer or anyone could do it by calling the number? IE, was there a PIN or unique code?

Trying to convince my sis to apply for the card, so she can stop bugging me to order her tickets to broadway shows for her...
