Is the only Disney Visa meet and greet still in CA by Monsters Inc? The information I have says 10:30-1:30 everyday. Is there usually a line or is there a better/worse time to stop in those 3 hours? We tried the WDW meet and greet at Epcot on a day the park was not very crowded and waited over 30 minutes!-so I just want to be prepared and be able to decide how long of a line is really worth it to us!

I forgot to mention characters...are they always the same at the Disney meet and who is there?

It is still located in DCA by Monsters Inc/Mad T Party. The hours are 10:30-1:30. It seems to have become more popular over the years, but Usually do not wait more than 15-20 minutes. 2 weeks ago we waited about 10 minutes with about 4 groups in front of us. We saw Stitch. My understanding is they rotate between Minnie, Daisy and Stitch.

There's not much of a wait & the same characters as the other OP mentioned is what we have experienced.

May I ask you which characters they have at WDW when you did this? We are going next year. :)

We will be there in almost 2 weeks. Is there a set date for the Star Wars meet to begin at Disneyland?

We met Mickey and Goofy in their standard costumes for the Visa meet at Epcot last September. The pictures came out great and we usually don't have very many pictures of the whole family so it is a nice extra but we had just stopped into Epcot for princess breakfast that morning and got into line shortly after it opened so we were not prepared for how long the line was or how long it took!!

I believe the Star Wars M&G will start with the Season of Force on 11/16, but I don't think I've seen it confirmed.

We've experienced decent waits recently. We've been a bit recently, and the waits have been over 30 mins at various points of the window. I think a lot more people are taking advantage of this perk.

Wow, sounds like people are taking advantage of it. We don't always do it. It depends on the character. I'm not much of a Stitch fan so if I see Stitch I'll skip it. My profile pic was at one of these meet & greets. I just love this pic of DD & Minnie. :daisy:

Our November 2014 trip the wait looked to be about 30 minutes so we skipped (and the parks had low crowds).
The year before December 2013 the wait was minimal (and the parks were BUSY)

Is the character announced in some way outside so we know if it is worth the wait for us? It sounds like Minnie would be easier and quicker somewhere else and I know Daisy is at MHP, but is there anywhere else in the parks to meet Stitch?

The CM checking your Visa and ID will have a list. Keep in mind though, depending on how long the line is, you might miss the character you want to see. We were in line and Stitch was there for another 15 minutes... and we missed him and got Daisy instead.

Slightly OT, but I am an Orlando local, and my experience on this coast has been much shorter waits than others reported. Seldom longer than 10 min. YMMV.

I did this twice during my trip. The first time was Minnie, and the 2nd time was Stitch. However, since the voucher must be turned in in DCA, I did not get my free photo of Stitch, since it did not enter the system before I was heading off to the Halloween Party on my last day. I knew this before having the picture taken, and so I had them add it to my Photopass Account, which is fine. My free Minnie picture turned out really great. In fact, it is one of my favorite photos from the trip. Minnie and I are sharing a hug.

In several years of trips, this was our experience too. About a 10 minute wait. HOWEVER, this summer when we went we waited much longer. The M&G was temporarily moved to a more central location and it was packed on our first day so we skipped it. I'd say the wait was well over an hour. The other days we went we waited about 20-30 minutes. I imagine the times are a little bit lower now that it has moved back to its traditional location, but I also agree that it has become more popular and more people are taking advantage of the perk.

The only other place you'll see Stitch is at Mickey's breakfast. Daisy is also generally only seen at the M&G and sometimes at Minnie's breakfast. In case anyone is reading this who is not going to MHP. Minnie is easy to see as she's all over the place, but she often doesn't have a professional photographer, and the M&G always takes your picture and you get one for free.

No, they are not announced & switch out when you least expect it. It's unpredictable.

While there have been no official announcements, you are very likely correct about the date for the start of the Star Wars M&G.

I wonder if the location will be moved to DL, closer to other Season of the Force offerings.

I'm pretty sure they will still have the original M&G in DCA. It sounds like the new Star Wars one will be at an additional location in DL.
