Disney Visa Gripe

Wonder if anyone else is having this problem?

We signed up for the 5x Disney rewards for Oct, Nov, Dec for groceries, gas, airfare, and restaurants. So we used the Disney Visa for that (they didn't recognize Wegmans as a grocery store or Hess's for gas, or the Union Station Grill as a restaurant, but I digress -- it's too hard to keep track of how businesses identify themselves).

We have 2 cruise deposits on our Disney Visa with 6 months free financing.

So for October's bill, I made my payment, and of course, they applied the payment towards one of my cruise deposits first, which was at the 0% APR. And nothing went towards my non-promotional balance.

So for November's bill, I wrote a note asking them to apply my payment to the non-promotional balance.

And the same for December's bill.

Today I get a nasty gram saying they aren't going to do that for me anymore.

I think I am going to stop using my Disney Visa for everything except for anything Disney that gets me 0% financing for 6 months.

It's just not worth the aggravation or the few extra bucks we get with their nX reward promotions for certain categories.

Why bother having 0% financing if they pay that first?

Sorry to hear about your problem.

I have never experienced that. As a matter of fact, with 2 cruises and multiple payments on each, they have never - not even once - applied my payment to the Disney vacation before the remaining balance. It states in their terms they will not pay off the disney vacation while it is on the zero percent. I would suggest you get their terms and conditions and try to work it out.

Their 5x promotion is well worth it for me.
