In the past you have not been able to use the promotion for check in's before the date the promotion starts. Usually you can check in on the last date of free dining and receive it for the full length of the stay (if there is room availability with the code)

It is definitely worth a call though. You could always book a room reservation for one night and then the package for the rest of the stay.

DDP cost per person per day
$37.99 + tax = $40.46 ($202.30 per person each over the 5 nights)

Cost of a 1 day MYW Ticket per person
$79.88 with tax

Potential Savings for MIL
$243/night x 5 nights = $1215 + $79.88 = $1294.88 The room itself is $33.75 more over the 5 days, but subtract out the cost of the DDP and this....saves my MIL $168.55!

Potential Savings for Lindy & Corey
$243/night x 5 nights = $1215 + 159.76 = $1374.76 The room itself is $33.75 more over the 5 days, but subtract out the cost of the DDP and this....saves us $370.85!

The extra tickets are all going to be left overs, so I can use them to go on a solo trip for cheap next year!

Yes, tickets can be seperated from a package before check in.

It's not a widely known process, so it may take some finagling to get it done. It also has to be done at Guest Relations at the parks. The resorts won't be able to do it.

If they tell you, at Guest Relations, that it can't be done, ask for a supervisor.

If I can get the FD tomorrow, I will be keeping my fingures crossed that guest relations is good at finagling!

let me know what you find out. We are in exactly the same situation. Staying at WL from Dec 13-19. We booked through AAA and put in a call to her today. Hopefully will hear something tomorrow. Not sure if making 2 reservations will really save us money in the long run.

wow - pricing out rack rates to get an idea on savings (moving my nov. to oct) I can't find any availability with rack rate on any values other than ASSp. No problems with mods though. Hope this deal is not JUST for values...

I just booked the disney visa free dining at pop for 12/14-12/18 and I did not get a 20% discount on the room. The price was exactly the same as the the regular quote on Disney.com. Has anyone been successful in booking the free dining with 20% off?
