Does anyone remember reading about free reward dollars for Disney Vacation Club members when applying for the BankOne Disney VISA card?

M*M

Hi Minnie Mouse,
The only thing that was offered to DVC members from bank one was to have Disney Vacation Club put on your card if you applied with a DVC code.

Thank you Donald Duck!

Has anyone redeemed any disney reward dollars? I'm curious...

We are building a house and charging a lot and paying it off every month to earn dollars instead of paying cash. I'm hoping this will prove to be worth it.

Yup! I just redeemed some reward dollars last week--put it towards an AP voucher bought through the Disney Store...

that when I called about getting vouchers for the points I already have for a trip in December, the person on the phone told me I should wait because starting in October they are going to send you a plastic card with a computer strip with the amount you've earned on it. Then, when you use it, it deducts the exact amount you are spending and the balance will be on it like a gift card. When you want to add your future points, you just call them and they can add it to your card by computer! I thought this sounded better than the vouchers and I can wait because our trip isn't until after October.

Thanks mickeymom629 for your info. I would rather have the "gift card" then the vouchers anyday :). I am saving up my rewards for park tickets.

I just used 5 $10 reward dollar certificates toward my charges at the BWVs. There werre noi problems using them.

The card sounds good because the certificates are bulky to carry around. That's why I used them on the charges to my bill rather than use them individually at WDW restaurants, etc. :)

For those of you who have requested vouchers, what is the reward dollar (points) to dollar ratio?

Example, what is 80 reward dollars worth in money, or how many reward dollars equalled a $10 voucher?

Does anyone know how much a 4-day hopper is in reward dollars? Just curious...thanks!!!

Minnie*Mouse,
In general, it amounts to 1% back of what you have purchased. However, they did have a special promotion recently where they gave double reward points for Disney Store purchases (which would amount to 2%).
Once you have accumulated the reward dollars you can redeem them into gift cards. The reward dollars are 1 for 1. The only trick is you have to specify Disney Store, Disneyland or DisneyWorld when you redeem them.
So in your example above, $80 reward dollars would equal $80 in a voucher/gift card.

An FYI about having "DVC member" printed on your card......I got the Disney Visa before I joined DVC. My card says "Charter Cardmember" on it. After joining DVC, I called customer service to have a new card sent that would say "DVC Member." The man I talked to informed me that the cards that say Charter Cardmember on them will be collector's items since that will only be printed on a certain number of cards. So save the Charter Cardmember cards if you decide to have DVC printed on yours!
