Disney Visa Approval

How long does it usually take to receive approval for a Disney Visa card. I applied online today and was surprised to get a message that it would be 15 to 30 days before I recieved a response in the mail. My husband and I have excellent credit so I am baffled as to why it would take so long. I was hoping to get the card soon so that I could pay off the balance on my package this week and use the 6 months with no interest.

I received the credit card in the mail 10 days afer I applied on line. I had/have another Chase credit card, not sure if that makes any difference in the timeline for getting approval.

the first time i applied i got that message and was ultimatly denied... we have EXCELLENT credit well above 700 only morgage debt and one car loan THROUGH chase! i was pretty angry and we did 3 disney trips that year i finally just got one this month when i got the 200$ offer and this time was approved imediately

I applied online and got my card exactly one week later. I didn't have a previous Chase account.

It didn't tell me that I was approved after I submitted the online application but just showed up.

So, watch your mail. I bet you'll see it very soon.

When I applied for my Disney Visa, over 6 mo. ago, I got a message that I was approved for $5000 and I would receive my card within 14 days. (I applied online). When I received my card, the limit was $15,000. I called Chase to activate the card and ask about the difference in my initial approval amount and the final credit limit. I was told they do a more thorough check on your credit history before making the final determination.

Based on my experience, I guess they just eliminated the initial approval step. I'm sure they are saving money, somehow. But it did take about 2 weeks to receive my card.

DH applied for the Southwest CC, also from Chase. He applied about 2 months ago. They didn't give us an initial approval notice and it took the full 2 weeks to hear back from them.

LONG STORY SHORT: Your experience sounds very typical to me and shouldn't create worry.

Sorry, I cannot...we actually waited to get ours in the mail to finish paying for our trip. Good luck getting it resolved .

They have a wacky approval system that I swear is comletely computerized. We got turned down. BOth my husband and I have like 850 credit scores. You don't get much highter. No loans except our mortage (160K on a 550K house) and no credit card debt. (although we do have cards) have never been late. The only reason that I can figure out why it happened was because we were refinanacing and the mortage company pulled our credit reports twice in a 3 month period. So I think it was credit inquiries. However, had a real person looked at this they would have determined that it was from the same company and that it was a refi and that we were a good risk. Their loss.

How long does it usually take to receive approval for a Disney Visa card.

1) We applied via telephone.
2) We were approved during the phone call.
3) Our friend did an on-line application.
4) They received an approval return email in 3-days.

WE received our card last friday. No prior notification that we were approved, it just showed up. The good thing was that it arrived just in time to pay the vacation balance.
