Hi,
I could swear for my 50pt add on a while back I was able to get the 0% interest for 6 months.

I called Disney Visa and 1st she said no.....only vacation packages....she then called "disney directly" and was told....ONLY FOR 100PTS OR MORE????

Is this true???
Was thinking of adding on 50pts....but only if I can finance 0% for 6 months.....

BTW...I was shocked to see WLV 101 per point and BWV 114 or 115:eek:
I thought the sold outs were the same.
Both resorts were available for April UY
Thanks
Kerri

Fine print from Disneyrewards.com:
Developer financing approval is not guaranteed. See the Disney Vacation Club Public Offering Statement for important information. If you use your Disney Rewards Visa Card on the purchase of a real estate interest in a select Disney Vacation Club Resort equal to a 160 or more vacation point Master Contract or a 100 or more vacation point Add On, the Daily Periodic Rate for the first 6 billing cycles following the date of the purchase is a promotional fixed APR of 0% provided that no payment on your account is past due at the time of purchase. The rate will apply to that portion of your purchase charged to your Disney Rewards Visa Card up to $10,000. After this promotional period, the applicable APR for purchases specified in your Cardmember Agreement will take effect on any Disney Vacation Club purchase balance remaining on your Disney Rewards Visa Card account. This 0% APR does not apply to Disney Vacation Club purchases made using any checks that access your account. Subject to these restrictions, use of your Disney Rewards Visa Card for the purchase of a real estate interest in a select Disney Vacation Club Resort equal to a 160 or more vacation point Master Contract or a 100 or more vacation point Add On is subject to the same terms and conditions, including rate and fees, as qualified Disney vacation package purchases. See your Cardmember Agreement for APR details. Offer subject to change or cancellation without notice. Restrictions apply

Oi:confused:

Gotta say right now DVC has given me zero reason to add on direct right now.

I think I will just sit tight and squash this case of addonitis.

Although gotta say I did see some real nice resale value....I'll have to see how much the interest would cost and counter that in.....hmmmm
Thanks for the quick response:goodvibes

While I agree that per their policy I shouldn't have gotten the 0% offer, but when I did a direct add on in Dec. 2010 of 25 points ($3k) I charged it to my Disney Visa and the CC statement said that the promotional interest rate of 0% was on there for 6 months. However, I actually had already paid it off because I didn't want that high a balance sitting around for long and I didn't expect to be offered a promo rate! :headache:

We added on last week, 80 pts. Charged total amount to our Disney Visa, 0% 6 months (up to $10,000). Check with your guide.

We also have gotten the amount on smaller contracts. My 30 point contract that I bought in August qualified.

Matter of fact, I had Disney delay the final payment for a month so that I could miss another statement closing date and really end up with 7 months.

I don't know if that is a new thing or not in terms of it having to be a 100 point add on.

Good luck!

It's been awhile, but we were offerred the deal on a 75 pt. add-on in August. We didn't have the card and thus declined as I wanted it on another card.

We also got the 0% interest for 6 months promotion on our 50 point add on that we did last July. We did 2, 25 point contracts for BLT and our purchase qualified.

Perhaps it was recently changed?

I've had 2 different 50 point add-on contracts that I put entirely on the Disney Visa. I received the 0% for 6 months each time. I have always been told by my guide that the limit is $10,000. It was not tied in any way to the number of points. I was told that there had to be a certain "code" entered when the payment was submitted to qualify for the 0%. All the guides seem to know what it is.

Just added on last week - 50 points at BCV- and guide told us we would get 0% financing for 6 months.

Thanks everyone....i will call today and get the "real deal" answer:goodvibes
