I've read conflicting reports and want to make sure I will not be charged interest if I leave a package with a promo rate on the card. If the card has been previously paid in full and will be paid in full on the current bill, can i subtract the amount in the 6 month promo space and not pay it and still not get charged interest? Many cards apply all payments to the lowest APR first thus leaving an amount that could be assesed a finance charge. I won;t play that game and never take advantage of any promotional deals because I figure they are full of tricks so I just pay the entire card when it is due.

Is Disney really different and I can leave the package on there a month without paying it and without getting a finance charge if the rest of the bill is paid in full?

Yes and NO

It will stay at the 0% for the full 6 months .

If you charge other stuff and pay it will go against the charged stuff.

However if you return anything for a credit it goes against your 0% for some reason.

I've used it for several trips and a DVC downpayment and have had on problems.

I use my Visa for everything from Cell bill to anything else that accepts it.So it gets used a lot.

You do have to keep an eye on it as sometimes they will apply to wrong things (this has not happened to me but I heard it here) and they will make the corrections but thats a hassle.
