Okay, so I have been patiently:rolleyes: waiting for the $200 gift card offer from Chase....I FINALLY got one a couple of days ago.:dance3:
It is addressed to The "Smith" Family, not me or my DH in particular. I think it also said that the offer was for new cardholders. I am thinking that others had posted that they have gotten the card even though they have one already. DH and I each have an account. I was also wondering if I could use it for my DD21. She is a student in college and I would love for her to get this to boost her credit and get a gift card to boot! Will they issue a card to a student that isnt working? She does babysitting for her money, but not a regular job. Can my DH be a co account holder for her?

Since she is a part of your family you can apply with her name and SS, your address and your family income. If it gets approved I would sign up for some recurring charge like a cable bill, pay it off every month and give it to her when she graduates. She'll have a card and a good credit rating to go with it.

I don't mean to discourage you, but I got this same offer and filled out the application for my unemployed college student DS21. He was denied. :confused3 It asked for household income, so I put our combined total and he still was turned down.

Dont worry about the discouragement;)
That's why I was asking. I couldnt figure out if or why a credit card company would give a card to a young adult with no job. I was just hoping that they would and she could use it to build up credit. Guess I may try and hope for the best. Thanks for your input, though:thumbsup2
