We just booked our first trip March 15 - 23..

Would love to hear your must go to choices for restaurants.

THANKS

(2) adults and (1) 7 yr old.

What kinds of places are you looking for? Character meals? Is your 7 year old a sophisticated eater? Buffets?

My family loves Ohana and won't let me skip it. Chef Mickey's is a really popular character meal (buffet). We also loved CRT for lunch although that's really controversial. Some places that seem to be loved that I'm hoping to visit - Le Cellier in Epcot, California Grill.

I think your 7 year old would love Chef Mickey's. It is a really fun place to eat and the food here (especially at dinner) is terrific!

I highly recommend Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club for breakfast. It is my absolute favorite and a must-do on all our vacations. Plus it is fun to see the characters in their swimsuits.

Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom is another fun buffet for breakfast or dinner.

For non-character meals, I recommend the Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge, Le Cellier at EPCOT, and Tony's Town Square at MK.

Some restaurants I would recommend...

Le Cellier This almost seems pointless, as you can go on almost any thread on this board and find a recommendation for it. The food is incredible, not to mention that it features servers from the friendliest country on Earth...:goodvibes

'Ohana This one is great. Basically, you sit down at a table and they just keep bringing you food. It comes in courses, but you can ask for more of anything you particularly like. The dessert is the real reason for coming, however...Banana Bread Pudding in the greatest sauce ever...mmm....

Crystal Palace Beautiful restaurant, good food, and WINNIE-THE-POOH! How can it go wrong?

I plan to go to WDW every year from now on, but have only been 1 time since the 80s.

This Feb, we wanted to try all new places, but the only one that both I and DD (now 8) felt we HAD to repeat is Boma. SO great for the adults, and Lily loved it, too! I take that back. We are also repeating Cinderella's Royal Table, this time for lunch. DD loved it so much, and asked to go back. Next time we will go to Akershus or 1900 Park Fare instead, but I thought we'd go once more, because we really did love it for breakfast.

This time, we will try (as they come highly recommended) Crystal Palace and LeCellier. We have some others as well, but those are what I am most looking forward to.

Have a great time! We didn't necessarily pick all the "right" places last time since we were so new to it, but we all enjoyed our meals so much!

Another vote for 'Ohana & Le Cellier. I've never gone to CP but hear it's great & plan on going next trip. Kona (also at the Poly) has amazing food but the atmosphere is so-so, esp. for kids...'Ohana is much more to their liking (my now-adult "kids" still love it). Cape May has a very good breakfast buffet. Also, San Angel Inn (Mexico pavillion, Epcot)'s ambiance is fabulous. The food is just ok, but it's worth it for the atmosphere.
