Disney Vacay with the Love Bugs (New 6/23 update ~ Chef Mickeys)

Hey, great update - but you need to let us know what happened with your camera bag!

Our DD, who is mostly character-phobic, requires us to do the Epcot character spot every time. That's actually our rope drop destination for Epcot, because the lines for that are BRUTAL as you mentioned. I can't stand spending an hour waiting for characters, so by getting there at rope drop, we usually are one of the first family's into see the characters and only wait a few minutes. I figure everything else with big lines at Epcot has a FastPass! That's what they need for the character spot.

I do not like waiting long either. I considered leaving the line a couple of times but I wanted a picture of Lexi w/Minnie. Next time we'll run there 1st.

I think you're on to something big. Character lines SHOULD have FastPass too!

What a fantastic update...you always look like you're having a ball .. I love it!!

The kids are beyond cute in this latest update...I love Lexi's outfit...CUTE!!!!

We do have the best time at Disney. The kids want to go back so bad!!!!!! Lexi tells me everyday, "I want to go back to Disney".

i wish they would add chip and dale to the mix in there that would be fun.

It would have been nice for us if C & D would have been in there. They had a meet n greet by the Character spot later that day. The CM's kept walking over & telling us since Levi had on the shirt & hat. But, there was no way I was going to stand in a line again. They do make an appearance later

Hey - off topic a bit, but we'll be coming down to your neighborhood (sort of) in August. We booked our flight and hotel for Myrtle Beach, August 20-28th! Much cheaper than Disney - and since all your kids are back in school...much less crowded. DD 2nd favorite desitnation. Got a great deal at Ocean Dunes, where we stayed the last 2 visits. Not super lux...but they have lots of great stuff for kids including their own water park.

I'm sorry to hear about the lost camera bag! I hope that your next installment includes an update that you found it!!

I love all the character pics! The one of Levi getting a kiss from Minnie is priceless! And Lexi is too precious with her Minnie outfit. I'm so glad the CM's were so understanding about the Goofy pic...it turned out way too cute!

It was mighty depressing when our summer was over & everyone else on here was still on vacation!

Love that they allowed you to go back for the picture with Goofy-- Disney CMs are pretty great! We had to cancel our Pirates League at the last minute, and they waived the cancellation fee. I will always be grateful for that!

I have been keeping up with your updates more than my own! Hope you guys enjoyed the holidays and the snow... My kids were out of school that mon - thurs. I love your updates, all your pics are great. I'm dissapointed that I still didn't get a dole whip. I also agree I like spectromagic better!

Great update! Loving Lexi's outfit and both the hats definitely are striking in photos! I would love to dress up as Minnie Mouse etc but a 5'10 oversized minni is more likely to get security called than good character interactions! Boo to growing up!

It was extremely too hot the hat. I think he was just being stubborn, didn't want to admit it was too hot & didn't want to take it off

Hi Jill! We did have a great Christmas & we loved the snow. We were out a week for the snow. It was fun then, but my kids don't understand that we now have to make up those days!
Make sure you try a Dole Whip next time. I didn't try one either, only Brad did. Next time I will.
