I am wondering if many people book Disney vacations with an actual Disney specialist or with just a regular agent. Any advantages or disadvantages to either one?

Hi! I usually plan my own trips, but in 2003 I booked through Disney Specialists found at www.ourlaughplace.com I was so thrilled with them that they are pampering me & plannin my Nov trip. They are extremely knowledgable and keep checking discount rates, send maps of all the parks, make your ADRs, so much they do for you at NO charge at all, I would be willing to pay them :)

I used Small World Vacations twice and loved it!It's saves me alot of time not having to make the phone calls to book, make ADR's and all that stuff ! Ijust tell them what I want and they do the rest! Best of all it's free! :cheer2: :cool1:

I booked with Dream Come True Vacations and was very pleased with their service... like the previous post mentioned ... Kathryn made all my ADR's and took care of all my requests. :thumbsup2
She even watched out for Specials and adjusted my package accordingly. I would never booke it myself, having to stress over getting up early and making all my ADR's just not worth it.

I book through Sears Travel in Burlington.....I do all the leg work and get all possible quotes and then hand it over to my agent and she always comes back with a better price.......I have booked 3 times with the same agent and she will continue to get all my business for WDW.......

We have booked with Susie from Small World 3 times now. She is the BEST. If you pm me, I'll send you all her details. I would NEVER book through anyone else after all her special attention to detail! :)

Beth :wave2:

Thanks everyone. Im actually opening my own home based travel agency soon and am trying to decide if it's worth it to become a Disney specialist. For myself, I know WAY more than any agent I ever booked with, but I didnt consider that there was actual disney specialists until i started trying to get into this career. I would love to book Disney vacations all day long and help make peoples dreams come true. I also want to specialize in Hawaii and Australia but I think Disney will be my main focus. Thanks again!

I would have been thrilled to have found a Canadian Disney specialist. I ended up going with Small World Vacations (Marion is wonderful) because I couldn't find a local who knew as much as I needed them to.
