I booked a Disney Vacation Pkg using the pin code a month or two ago. I only put down the deposit. I have not yet put any money toward the trip. Does anyone know when I have to pay for the entire pkg? It's almost 30 days to the start of the trip, and I vaguely remember having to have it paid in full by that time when we took our trip last year. Since I booked over the phone, I am unable to view my reservation online. The CM I booked w/ told me it is impossible to do it online. I have to call to make all payments.

It's 30 days before the trip, I just made my own payment two weeks ago.

Did you get a written confirmation about your booking? The due date for the full payment should be noted on there, right under the line when it states your deposit amount.

I also got a written reminder when I was approaching the due date. Seeing that I am overseas, I'd think they do this for US bookings as well.

Yes, it is 30 days from your arrival date so were going to go Oct.15-19th so I had to pay in full on Sept. 15th. You will then receive your vacation package about 21 day before you leave.

I had a feeling it was 30 days. Last year, I received a reminder- this year I did not. Nothing I can do but wait until tomorrow anyway. I hope I don't lose the deposit if I am late.

Since you booked with a CM, doesn't that mean you booked with WDTC? Aren't they open 7 days a week????

Heather - did you book through the Travel Company or through Central Reservations? The PIN Code offer was not a Travel Company offer. In other words, what I am trying to say is - if you used the PIN Code offer (like I did) and put down the deposit required of one night's stay plus tax, then you do not have to pay the rest of the amount until you arrive at the front desk for your stay if you don't want to!!! And generally, those reservations made through Central (for the PIN offer) cannot be viewed online. However, if you booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company, generally those reservations CAN be viewed online and those are the ones which usually require $200 minimum deposit up front and then the full balance due 30 days prior to arrival. Hope that makes sense! I have a hunch that if you used the PIN offer, you don't have to pay the rest until you arrive (unless you want to pay it before that).

Packages have to be paid 30 days in advance. If you booked a room-only reservation, you pay your balance when you check in.

Packages are reserved with a $200 deposit (unless you also have insurance, and then it's more), and room-onlies are reserved with a first-night deposit payment.

I was able to cancel for a full refund yesterday. The tickets were separate from the room, according to the CM, which means you have 5 days from the date of travel to cancel w/out any penalties.

Great! That is what I thought when you initially said you used a PIN code. The PIN code offers were through Central (room only), as I figured in my original post, so I assumed you could get a full refund up to 5 days before arrival or not have to pay the balance due until you arrived. The packages are through WDTC and those are the ones that you do not get a full refund on. And WDTC packages usually do not have anything to do with PIN codes.
